Thanksgiving 2026 Thread

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 43
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 18
Happy October Mid-Week! Today folks we move along and see that we have 43 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 18 days left until November. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our next 2 milestones arriving in a little over a week from now. It will be when we reach Tom Turkey Day #11 and the Home Stretch till November. Both exciting but I must admit I love October so much I don’t want to leave it. I’m glad we aren’t even halfway through it. And we have a lot of fun activities planned still this month. It’s Wednesday folks so time for our Weekly Wednesday Poll below!
How is your Autumn Season going so far?
A.) I haven’t gotten into the mood yet.
B.) It’s been going about as I expected.
C.) It’s been going amazing and better than expected.
D.) This has been the best autumn ever.
I’m going with C. I can’t pick D (Yet) because we have too much to do still and I don’t want to jump the gun and say this is the best. But I’m more pumped about autumn than I ever have been. Have a great October Mid-Week!

I've got to say A. It's been too darn warm, and the trees haven't reached Technicolor mode yet. I'm hoping to pick up a different vibe when we go to Gatlinburg next week. The Burg is Fall HQ for the Southeast.

The weather hasn't been too bad, we're getting some crisp, cool days, and I'm at a good place right now on my Kringle Radio recording work. Also looking forward to a few days off later in the month!

I would have to say A for me. We've had the flu already, my mama has severe health issues right now, and the weather won't cooperate. The high today is 89 without the heat index, leaves aren't turning yet, and it's just been kinda poopy tbh. I am still holding out hope, though!

Happy Mid-October! Today folks we move along and see that we have 42 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 17 days left until November. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our next milestones set to arrive 1 week from today when we reach Tom Turkey Day #11 and the Home Stretch till November. It’s Thursday folks so time for our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving. It stands now at 6 weeks. A six pack of weeks my friends. We’re still using our 2nd hand to count at least. At least for this week. I hope everyone is doing well and having a good week so far. It’s been busy here. I did have Monday off as I mentioned but I often joke that sometimes those 4-day weeks seem longer than those 5-day weeks. The best to you my gobbling friends on this Thursday. I wish you well as we move along to another new day here in the season of autumn. Make the most of it my friends. Have a great time and do the best you can. And enjoy the fact we are in the autumn season. Truly a treasure and I am taking a lot from this autumn that I already knew but sometimes maybe I forget during the other seasons.
