I am so ready to start chasing ALL of these countdowns again. Usually I don't mentally get in gear until January 1st is here, but this is totally different for 2026. I'm motivated honestly like I've never been before! Have a great Friday!

Ah, it’s good to be back. Especially in this particular thread. Only 249 days until the next Bers. Let’s goooooooo!

I have not felt well since the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. I am still battling a cough and some congestion but once again I feel like the best week of the year and a lot of December was "less than" I had hoped but I am ready to start the journey again.

Next week I will start my weekly/daily? daydreaming about Thanksgiving Week and studying when all of the holidays fall.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 334
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 309
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 248

Happy Final Weekend Of The Year! Today folks we move along and see that we have 334 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 309 days left until November and 248 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Happy Holidays with our next milestone arriving on Thursday with the Arrival of January and the new year. It will be when we can officially say THIS Thanksgiving and no longer NEXT Thanksgiving ever again in this thread. It’s Saturday folks so time for the 1st half of our Quiet Weekend Period. And it’s a snowfest out there. There is plenty of snow around and a total winter wonderland after a snowy night. Just missed a snowstorm on Christmas by 1 day but people who enjoy it will take it when they can get it. The best to you my turkey friends here on this Saturday. I hope that you enjoy your time with your family and friends. The best to all of you as we move along here into the big weekend in between Christmas and New Year’s. I almost feel like we’re in No Man’s Land right now. Like we’re done with Christmas but…we’re kind of still on it. Ya know? We’re not ready for the new year yet but we kind of are. Some weird days in between. Turkey friends I hope that you enjoy your Saturday and if you shovel be safe. Have a great Final Weekend Of The Year!

Your post hits me right in the feels this morning. It is going to be so mentally different when all of us can say "This" whatever holiday, instead of "next".

It might just be because of how hard things crashed and burned in the 24-48 hours leading up to Christmas 2025, but I really don't think I've ever been motivated like this to start the new year.

I also don't feel as "bad" as I thought I would feel after Christmas ended because so many things ended up being completely out of our control. I think that is what is "driving" me now into 2026 and The Holiday Season again, because if things don't go my way I won't have anybody to blame but myself.

Happy Saturday! Final Saturday of 2025!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 333
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 308
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 247

Happy Post Christmas! Today folks we move along and see that we have 333 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 308 days left until November and 247 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Happy Holidays with our next milestone arriving on Thursday with the Arrival of January. And of course, we’ll all be able to say THIS Thanksgiving not NEXT Thanksgiving when we reach that point. It’s Sunday friends so time for the 2nd half of our Quiet Weekend Period. I hope your weekend has been a bit quiet. I’ve noticed in recent years the day after Christmas I’m still riding a Christmas high and yesterday it hit me a little that the holidays are really ending. Also, the tiredness hit me a bit too as I felt a little lackluster and dragged myself through the day to do the things I needed to do. It’s all good though as it was worth it as this week has been one of the most memorable weeks in my entire life. Somehow, the Christmas Season for my family has grown over the years in many ways and the season is just completely magical. I’m thankful for it but I’m also looking forward to some quieter winter days ahead as we move into the new year. Turkey friends enjoy your Sunday no matter what your plans are. Have a great Post Christmas!

I am already fed up with the weather.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 332
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 307
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 246

Happy New Year’s Eve Eve Eve! Today folks we move along and see that we have 332 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 307 days left until November and 246 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Happy Holidays with our next milestone coming when the Happy Holidays end on Thursday. It will be the Arrival of January. And it will begin the Winter Wonderland portion of this thread. We have had a winter wonderland multiple times in the month of December this year. It has felt like Christmas Season. It’s Monday folks so you know it’s our new favorite feature which is YouTube Day which is listed below!

A delicious Thanksgiving YouTube video on how to cook your Thanksgiving meal. Yummy. I could go for one right now. I’m a little tired of fish at this point. I really loved my Christmas Eve dinner though and the entire holiday season has been beyond spectacular. I really don’t know how to put it into words, but I will try to tomorrow in the Hang Out. The best to you my turkey friends. Enjoy your day as much as you can. Have a great New Year’s Eve Eve Eve!

I have a confession to make. We overdid it on turkey this year. We had turkey at every family dinner since Thanksgiving. Two turkeys at Thanksgiving and two at Christmas. I was expecting there to be a ham thrown in there somewhere to break things up, but no ham materialized. And before we knew that both sides of our family were turkey exclusive, we bought our own cajun turkey for our Bers’ End Feast this year. I might be skipping turkey for a long while after this, at least until Halfsgiving.
