I have a confession to make. We overdid it on turkey this year. We had turkey at every family dinner since Thanksgiving. Two turkeys at Thanksgiving and two at Christmas. I was expecting there to be a ham thrown in there somewhere to break things up, but no ham materialized. And before we knew that both sides of our family were turkey exclusive, we bought our own cajun turkey for our Bers’ End Feast this year. I might be skipping turkey for a long while after this, at least until Halfsgiving.
Its happened to me a few times. I even went the whole year and never ate turkey. I used to deep fry, smoke, candy and just regular in the oven and it never got tiresome.

The year I cooked two turkeys and struggled with the carving I took a long break from turkey and even this year my plate was filled with sides, no turkey or ham!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 331
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 306
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 245

Happy New Year’s Eve Eve! Today folks we move along and see that we have 331 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 306 days left until November and 245 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Happy Holidays with our next milestone arriving on Thursday with the Arrival of January. It’s going to be big folks but right now we focus on today being Tuesday. It’s time for Picture Day. Our favorite day of the week is here. Get ready to post all your favorite pictures my friends of Fall and Thanksgiving. It’s a great time of year for sure and this is why all year long (even when there is snow on the ground and we’re heading into the doldrums of winter) I enjoy having pictures of Fall/Autumn. I think back to those simpler (but amazing) days and smile. I smile because they were amazing and so much fun. And I also smile because of what we just went through in the holiday season. And those autumn days were all just the build to them. What a time of year The Bers is. That’s why we count down to them all year long. I love the other 8 months, but they can’t even come close to the 4 months of The Bers. Turkey friends the best to you on this Tuesday. I hope your week is going well so far and you enjoy your day today. Have a great New Year’s Eve Eve!

I made this a few days ago with Google Gemini, and I think it really captures the feel of "The Big 3". I liked it so much that I made it my profile banner picture here.

Happy Tuesday Folks! Just two more days and we can talk about all of our beloved holidays in the present. That's a big deal!

Have a great day!

We have been buying Popeye’s Cajun turkeys for the past several years for Thanksgiving. For New Year’s Eve (a.k.a. ours “Bers’ End Feast”) we are trying this HEB spicy Cajun turkey pictured above. I’ve heard it’s REALLY spicy. We shall see…

I know this isnt healthy sounding but try a few bites with it dipped in melted butter. I also REALLY like turkey with a bit of horseradish on each bite.
