Thanksgiving 2026 Thread

Turkey Season is here! And obviously that's the immediate focus now. Some happy conversations to come over the coming days and weeks! We'll start talking about "menu" items, and potentially, our very first "family" trip to Golden Corral on Thanksgiving day, which has been something I have wanted to try my entire life. Exciting times for sure!

Happy November! It is finally our month. We will swap out the Halloween decorations for Thanksgiving decorations today. Turkeys everywhere! I love this time of year.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 24

Happy November Week! Today folks we move along and see that we have 24 days remaining until Thanksgiving. Our last countdown is all alone now. And it’s an exciting time my friends. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our next milestone being the Home Stretch till Thanksgiving. We are truly in a great spot turkey friends. It’s Monday so time for our weekly YouTube Day below!

If you’re a fan of Betty Crocker, you’ll like today’s clip. A lengthy but interesting one with tons of recipes. I am no Betty Crocker when it comes to cooking, that is for sure. But fortunately, I have enough people in my family who are better than I am. But I do help with Thanksgiving cooking some. And I am decent at it when I put my mind to it. I do admit though I am better at eating on Thanksgiving than I am at cooking. I think many of us (even those who are good cooks) can probably admit that. It is the same at my house. I spent yesterday decorating my fall and Thanksgiving decor. On Facebook I have seen people already have their trees up. But not me until after Thanksgiving. I want to enjoy the Fall season.

Happy Election Day! Today folks we move along and see that we have 23 days remaining until Thanksgiving. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our next milestone set to arrive in less than 2 weeks when we reach the Home Stretch till Thanksgiving. It’s Tuesday folks so time for our Picture Day. Believe it or not, we now are posting Fall and Thanksgiving pictures here in this thread in the month of November. Our month is here turkey friends so post those here on this November and Autumn Tuesday. I hope you are all doing well. It’s just gorgeous here. I walk out everyday during the mid-morning to late afternoon without a jacket even on. I don’t recall doing that consistently in November but that’s how it’s gone this year. Maybe I’m becoming immune to the chill? Probably not. You know I’m not the best in cold weather. It’s just been above average most of the autumn season so far.
