Happy Valentine’s Day! Today folks we move along and see that we have 285 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 260 days left until November and 199 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Winter Wonderland with our next milestone set to arrive in 10 days with the 250-Day Marker till November. It’s Saturday folks so time for the 1st half of our Quiet Weekend Period. It’s going to be a good quiet weekend here (especially the 1st half) which I am all for. I feel like this winter break I’m taking is helping me kind of get back into the flow of things. I hope everyone is ready to enjoy their weekend and a long one if you have the holiday off on Monday. It’s not the type of day we get where I work but that’s why sometimes I take them off myself to extend the weekend as we all know it’s too short. Turkey friends I hope you are doing well to start this weekend. And I hope you are enjoying yourself. The best to you my turkey friends as we move along into a new day here and a day full of love. One thing I love is Thanksgiving. The feeling on that day is unmatched by any other day of the year really. And I love this thread and everyone who helps keep it going all year long. Gobble Gobble. Happy 3 day weekend everybody!

Every time I come in this thread, I am always transported back to Thanksgiving 2025. Everybody on here should know that I wasn't really happy with how Thanksgiving went last year.

We find out at the end of this month if my brother in law has to have another surgery (poor guy). If he DOESN'T, the odds are extremely high that he is going to have his G-tube removed in the next few months which means that we are most likely going to have our Halfsgiving / Friendsgiving in the late Spring.

We didn't get to do one last year because Holly was pregnant with our son. So of course that is something that I'm really hoping / looking forward to this year.

@SolidSnake84 I hope things go well for your BIL and that you can celebrate with a Halfsgiving, I think it would be a big boost for him and a great endeavor for you. I am toying with going all out for Leon Day and just thinking about it is bring me much joy!

I am going to go with B. I thought the game was boring. But the food was good. And that made it up to me. I was glad Seattle won. But the game itself was kind of boring to watch. That’s how I felt about it. Next year it falls on President’s Day Weekend and I’m already planning it off. Too soon? Have a great Winter Mid-Week!​

It was a great match of coaching wits....and while I would behave preferred a much higher scoring game....it was full of strategy and adjustments...so I enjoyed it!

Happy 2nd Half Of February! Today folks we move along and see that we have 284 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 259 days left until November and 198 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Winter Wonderland with our next milestone arriving in 9 days with the 250-Day Marker till November. We focus on today though and the Sunday Group is heading to the city for a museum and dinner. It’s always a fun time when we go together and always making memories (sometimes the little ones become the biggest ones). I hope everyone had a good Valentine’s Day. This weekend really has started to become a turning point in recent years for me. And if you can see in our count, you may notice where we’re heading in our Weekly Countdown. Not to spoil Thursday but I’m sure you can do the math and thinking that we have a full 40 weeks in front of us before Thanksgiving Week just feels amazing. So far away yet such a big step forward as we are solidly in the 2nd half of winter now and many of us start eyeing spring at least a little bit just like in the middle of August, we start to slowly eye autumn. No rushing though is allowed in this thread. The best to you my turkey friends on this Sunday. Enjoy it. Have a great 2nd Half Of February!​

This means that 40 weeks from right now I will be prepping for my extended family's Thanksgiving Dinner and on the eve of the best week of the year! I think there will be extra daydreaming this week!

It’s Monday folks so time for our YouTube Day with a special one today that I think will make everyone smile!



Not just any Thanksgiving Day Parade but the 2025 Thanksgiving Day Parade. The 99th annual parade. You know what it makes me think? It makes me think that it seems like yesterday and then ironically it makes me think that it seems like a billion years ago. Funny how it seems both but that’s just how I feel here in this very (very) long winter. But my hope is that the other seasons take their time like winter is doing. Some people may have the day off today so enjoy it if you do. And if not, still enjoy your day because we know that enjoying each day as much as you can is utterly important in the grand scheme of things. Have a great President’s Day!​

Happy Frozen February! Today folks we move along and see that we have 282 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 257 days left until November and 196 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Winter Wonderland with our next milestone arriving in 1 week when we reach the 250-Day Marker till November. That will be a big one for sure. I hope everyone is doing well this Tuesday. It feels a bit like a Monday for some of us who were off Monday and that’s a good thing. Because now it’s Tuesday instead and that means it is Picture Day. You know what that means don’t you? It’s time to share those pictures as we do every single Tuesday of Autumn/Thanksgiving. All the best stuff that we love the most and love seeing. I am looking forward to seeing what the class shares today. I hope you enjoyed the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade YouTube Clip from Monday where we saw the 99th annual parade from last year replayed. That was awesome. It got me in the mood for the 100th annual parade which is scheduled to take place on Thanksgiving Day. Turkey friends I hope you are doing well as we have moved beyond the football season, still in the depths of winter but with small signs of spring (like spring training baseball) starting to take place now. Have a great Frozen February!​
 
I went jogging yesterday through the neighborhood which was the first time I have ran in almost three months. To my delight I saw that several trees / shrubs have their buds ready to go and it makes me feel like at any point over the next few weeks they will sprout. I need to take a look back here as well. If I don't have any yet, it should be soon!
