Happy Week Into February! Today folks we move along and see that we have 292 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 267 days left until November and 206 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Winter Wonderland with our next milestone set to arrive on Friday with the 200-Day Marker till The Bers. That’ll be a great milestone, and I will start a 4-day weekend that weekend. I must tell you as much as I love my job I need it. It’s Saturday folks so time for the first half of our Quiet Weekend Period. I know everyone is thinking about this weekend as a special one. But is it because of the Superbowl or because we just love weekends? They are special and everyone does feel a bit like a holiday. I hope your week went well and that you are ready to enjoy this weekend, friends. The best to all of you as we move along into a new day here this Saturday. And on the Eve of the Superbowl it’s a special feeling that is just increasing as we move along. The best to you here this Friday. Enjoy your day. I didn't think I had any plans for the Super Bowl and then my brother decided to have some people over. At first I was going to pass but I think I need to engage in weekend socialization again so I think I will make Italian Beef and head over around 3:00 and then head home by 6:00 pm. The cold temps of January made me happy to be home and hibernating, but will take a page from the Groundhog and peek my head out into the world!

I had an awesome thing happen to me, completely randomly. Last night I was watching Spidey and his amazing friends with Abby before she fell asleep. There was an episode that showed the park in NYC and Green Goblin showed up with his pumpkin. Something about seeing the jack o lantern and the trees in the park being autumn in the episode, I had a little quick mini dose of "feels", and it really felt awesome.
I took a few minutes after that to just think about everything coming up, and it was really cool there for just a few minutes to miss The Bers and Autumn and The Big 3. That might have been my first true dose of borderline PCB's. It felt good.

Happy Superbowl Sunday! Today folks we move along and see that we have 291 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 266 days left until November and 205 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Winter Wonderland with our next milestone arriving on Friday with the 200-Day Marker till The Bers. It’s Sunday folks so time for the 2nd half of our Quiet Weekend Period. Ahh yes and it’s going to be a fun one as the Sunday Group heads to brunch and comes back to play a couple of games in the afternoon. And then it’s time for the Superbowl Party with all the good food. Of course, we will have leftovers on Monday which makes it a fun Monday too. It’s kind of cool how it falls on President’s Day Weekend next year. I know the NFL has wanted to extend the season to reach President’s Day Weekend and ironically next year it does without them even trying. And it falls on Valentine’s Day so if you love football, I guess that will be an extra special day for you. Turkey friends we are in the depths of winter here with a bitter weekend in my area. This is extreme type of cold weather that we go some winters without even seeing this bad. But we’re trudging through it and making the most of it with brief stays outside and more stays inside. I didn't know that the Super Bowl was going to fall on President's Day next year, I have often wished that we still took Lincoln's Birthday off like we did when I was a kid, but this will work too!!! I hope your temperatures improve soon, mine is going to go all the way up to 36 today, the first time we will be above freezing in a long time!
I'm 41 years old, gonna turn 42 in September. I was with my Dad yesterday because he had to go to Harbor Freight, and we were talking about the winter, and he said he thinks this might be the worst winter that I have lived through. He told me about some winters in the 70's that rivaled this, maybe was worse in some areas. I told him I could never remember the snow hanging on for weeks after, and all these run of days where it has never gotten above freezing. And he thinks this might be my worse winter. I definitely feel that way.
But the good news is, the extreme cold is over here, we get to 30 today, and then all of this week is in the 40's and even two days that might hit 50. It looks good on the long-range forecast. I know all of that can change in an instant, but I'm still cautiously optimistic that we hit the Month of Hope and it feels much closer to Spring than this arctic wasteland we are all in now.
Next weekend it shows 40 degrees...I may wear shorts!
I will be happy to be just start putting away my heaviest clothes as they come through the wash!

The Paw Patrol on the way to save Thanksgiving. I wish I grew up with Paw Patrol as they seem like a fun group. But I see little kids around me now watching it. And seeing them save Thanksgiving is a good thing. I mean, wouldn’t you try to save Thanksgiving if you had to? I’d try to do anything I had to if it meant saving that turkey, stuffing and gravy for my dinner. And those warm biscuits too of course. The best to you my turkey friends as we move along into a new week. I hope it brings you some positive and fun this week. I have a big 4-day weekend ahead of me as I’m taking off Friday/Monday for President’s Day Weekend. And boy do I need it. The best to everyone to start the week. Have a great February Week!

Happy bitter cold Monday folks! We survived the weekend somehow with no change in the temp. This is getting very old. Time to warm it up!
Out of all of the Thanksgiving topics for this year, the one that keeps coming to my mind is the 100th Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Sadly, there's very little news about it so far, except that it's going to happen and it'll air on Thanksgiving Day. I'll be looking for news about this one pretty frequently.

Happy Double Digits February! Today folks we move along and see that we have 289 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 264 days left until November, and 203 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Winter Wonderland with our next milestone set to arrive on Friday with the 200-Day Marker till The Bers. It’s Tuesday folks so time for Picture Day. Send all your pictures of Fall/Thanksgiving right now on another cold day (but less cold than it has been). We’re still locked in winter mode with plenty of winter to go. But it’s all good as I say all winter long, we still have the entire spring, summer, autumn and holiday season in front of us and those 4 periods of the year I love far more than winter. But I appreciate winter minus the extreme cold we’ve had lately. Don’t need to feel like an eskimo. I’m hoping everyone here gets to enjoy their Tuesday and that they get at least a bit of a warmup soon if it’s not already underway for them. This is one of those winters where you know you’re in it and you’re probably going to think to yourself this was quite a winter journey this year.
