Thanksgiving 2026 Thread

We're going from 85 for a high today to only 50 by Monday (35-degree drop)!

DAYS TILL THE BERS: 138
Happy 2nd Half Of April! Today folks we move along and see that we have 224 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 199 days left until November and 138 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Stress-Free Spring with our next milestone set to arrive 1 week from today when we reach Tom Turkey Day #5. It’s going to be a big one for sure and Rich will do his monthly turkey dance for us. It’s Thursday folks so time for our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving. It stands at 32 weeks. Do you know what that means? Besides the obvious that it’s 32 weeks from now but it also means 20 weeks ago was Thanksgiving. And 20 weeks from now we will have just begun The Bers and be on the doorstep of Labor Day Weekend. Just putting it in perspective for you which makes it seem shorter but also longer too, in a good way. I feel like Thanksgiving was forever ago to be honest and I think the long winter we had is the reason. But I’m glad we have a ton of time to enjoy in the spring and summer which is still some of my favorite times of the year (until we hit The Bers and Autumn reminds me how it is still my favorite season by far). The best to you all my turkey friends on this Thursday. A little spring break here for me the rest of the week. Have a great 2nd Half Of April!

We move along in our Stress-Free Spring with our next milestone set to arrive 1 week from today when we reach Tom Turkey Day #5. I'm glad this week is nearly at the end. Next week is Tom Turkey Day week, and we have our surgery consult that Thursday. I'm working half a day on that Friday, and then will be off two days the following week. I'll start being off a lot using PTO Days as we approach the summer and head towards Fall. There, I said it! Head towards fall!

Happy Wrestlemania Weekend! Today folks we move along and see that we have 222 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 197 days left until November and 136 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Stress-Free Spring with our next milestone set to arrive on Thursday with Tom Turkey Day #5 arriving at that time. It’s Saturday folks so time for the 1st half of our Quiet Weekend Period. And it’s going to be a good one I hope for sure. We’re having a little Wrestlemania Party this weekend with pizza and a big sub. It’s kind of like Superbowl Weekend in a way if you grew up enjoying wrestling. I don’t follow it like when I was a kid, but I still enjoy it from time to time and always the big events bring back memories growing up as a kid. My brother wanted to be a wrestler and my mom would say you are so clumsy how will you be a wrestler. Fair point. We used to wrestle on Friday nights (my dad was ref) until my brother jumped off this little, small kids table and tried to do a Macho Man elbow on me and broke his arm. That was the end of wrestling night per mom. Good memories though. Now turkey friends we all make good memories all year but really on Thanksgiving we have some of the best memories for sure. My brother and Dad used to watch wrestling all the time!
I don't know if I've ever told anyone this, but my favorite wrestler is Shawn Michaels, and I even have the same tattoo that he does on my right bicep.
My childhood best friend has the Bret Hart logo with the skull and heart and wings on his bicep. We got them when we turned 18.

Happy April Sunday! Today folks we move along and see that we have 221 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 196 days left until November and 135 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Stress-Free Spring with our next milestone ready to arrive on Thursday with Tom Turkey Day #5. It’s Sunday folks so time for the 2nd half of our Quiet Weekend Period. Believe it or not, the Sunday Group has postponed today’s plans due to my uncle getting the flu. It’s ok we had a very small plan today as we wanted to get back and watch WrestleMania (which my uncle isn’t a fan of). So, we’re going to play it close to home today, let the Sunday Group take a (very rare) week off and enjoy being at home. It’s turning into a fun and special home weekend mostly. It feels a bit like the Superbowl Weekend if you are a wrestling fan, you get that. Even if you don’t know those big weekends like Memorial Day, Mother’s Day, Labor Day and more. There is a special feeling when it’s a little special to you. This is just a fun and simple one without any pressure, gifts or running around needed. That’s a big plus for sure. The best to all of you my turkey friends and enjoy this Sunday and be thankful for what you have. Have a great April Sunday!
