I'm a horror movie fanatic, and my love for Halloween is at least equal to my love for Christmas.

So, when you say "Scary", do you mean "SCARY", or "tries to be scary"? 'Cause there's a vast difference. Very few movies actually scare me anymore. A bare handful can make me jump.

Scheduled for tonight is Campfire Tales. It's an anthology-format movie from 1997. It falls in the "creepy" category, with some nice scare scenes - but overall, not all that scary. A fun way to kill 90 minutes, though.

My favorite was "The Haunting" with Julie Harris and Claire Bloom. My only criticism was the concluding phrase ". . .and we who walk there walk alone." In the book the entity(ies) haunting Hill House are never identified, not even as human.
