Christmas Countdown - 2018

Good Morning, Milestone Thresholders.

And yes, indeed. We once again stand on the doorstep of another Milestone marker, this one being rather hard to believe.

First, let's inspect the day's numbers:
Days to Halloween: 25 (Barely over 3 1/2 weeks left!)
Days to the Season: 38 (Now under 5 and 1/2 weeks to go!)
Days to Christmas Day: 80 (Under 11 1/2 weeks remain!)

As for being on the edge of another Milestone is concerned, be advised, and mark it well, that our next marker is the NINETY PERCENT HOME STRETCH point to the Season and yes, it will be here TOMORROW!!

Rather warm and humid here yesterday, but it was calm with no precipitation.
Today is supposed to be marginally cooler with highs down to the low 80's, again with limited chance of rain.
Day I of our weekend has commenced here in the capital city at 71 degrees.

Happy Saturday! Not too planned for today..my daughter rolled her ankle last night in her soccer game so she is in a little brace...hopefully she should be better in a few days. I think we are going to grill steaks tonight. Hope you all have a great day!

Around 80 days left! This is the start of my favorite time of year! Woohoo! Yesterday evening, my wife and my oldest son (15yo) and daughter (9yo) went to the local high school football game. My middle son (13yo) and I decided to stay home because it was cold and rainy. So I asked him what we should do since we were home alone... and he said, "How about we listen to some Christmas music and play Christmasopoly!" So we donned our Santa hats, popped in some Christmas music and had a fun evening!

By the way, has anyone played Christmasopoly? It's similar to Monopoly of course, but we find it's a lot more fun. For instance there are cards you can draw like Community Chest and Chance cards, but they are Christmas themed... one card says everyone who sings a chorus of Jingle Bells gets $50 from the bank. They really do a good job of making it a fun game. Somehow even when you lose Christmasopoly, it's still a lot of fun!

You too, meceka! I've always found that this weekend really kicks off the road to the Season. It couldn't be more fitting that we will reach 90% to the home stretch tomorrow!

90% tomorrow? How amazing. Our simply magical time of the year is on its way! I don't know about your area, but flyers are starting to advertise Christmas Trees for sale, Christmas items are filling the shelves - as shown in the Blossoms thread - and we are truly so close to our Season! Soon enough, we'll be kicking off the seasonal celebration with It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and shortly after, all the Christmas commercials and beginning of the Season will follow.

I hope everyone has enjoyed their Saturday thus far. Kim and I have already arrived in Cornwall and are ready to enjoy, eat, and relax. I don't think I'll get much relaxing done, however. I have a lot of marking to complete.

Good Saturday morning! On my way to work where we have received our first Christmas merchandise, I’m so excited!!! And it turns out that my manager is also a Christmas fanatic, she even started listening to Christmas music in her car already. Hope everyone enjoys a great weekend ahead!

Rained off and on all day today, but no thunderstorms. Good day to get some paperwork and organizing done!

My pepper and tomatillo plants are still going strong. I hope that temperatures will be warm enough for the next few weeks that the plants will survive. Have to start curing the pumpkins soon. It will look festive in the yard what with the leaves falling and the pumpkins out.

Mike and I had to change our lunch plans as we got stuck in a huge traffic jam and it would have taken us over 1.5 hours to get 20 mins from his house so we settled for Chilis. He will go to his best friends tonight and come home Wednesday am. Just work for me in the am and then my cousins birthday at night

As promised, it was a bit cooler and less humid yesterday. We saw rather cloudy conditions for much of the day, but not a drop of rain fell.
Today should bring temperatures in the mid-80's with 0 percent chance of rain predicted.
Our current reading to launch the day is 70 degrees, under rather foggy conditions.

It’s going to be cloudy today with a high of 76 degrees. I’m just having my coffee and working on the laundry right now. Not too much going on, it should be a pretty relaxing day. We have plans to go out for dinner so I get a break from cooking tonight
