Thank you both. Just found out he needs another blood transfusion so he won’t be going home. Still not sure what’s causing all of this, hopefully they’ll figure it out soon.
Pshh. Don't worry about those folks. Decorate with gusto!!Cannot believe people get so angry about decorating for Christmas before Thanksgiving. ONLY 39 days away and I haven't even got all of my outside decorations fully up yet!![]()
Wow, that's beautiful!!View attachment 52251 Good afternoon, friends! Just relaxing watching Hallmark, as the dogs lay by me. I can’t believe this is the weekend leading in to Thanksgiving. Im so excited, especially since I’ll be off. Lots of cooking and baking ahead!
I enclosed a picture of my backyard this am. I still can’t believe we got this much snow for the first storm, but it is beautiful!
Hope you’re all having a great and safe day!
Your welcome. Also praying that the doctors can figure out what is going on
Praying for your father and that the doctors can figure it out.
Continued prayers for your father, HmG. Sending much love your way. {{{HUGS}}}
Have they done a scope to make sure he doesn’t have a gastrointestinal bleed? That might be a question to ask if they haven’t. Continued prayers!![]()

I'm glad he was able to come home. Hopefully the drs will be able to figure, out what is causing all thisThanks everyone. The doctor decided to discharge my father after he received the transfusion. He’s happy to be home. He’s going to follow up with a couple of doctors for further testing. Sugar, yes he will be seeing a gastroenterologist. Thanks again, I appreciate the thoughts and prayers.

Morning folks. We took a road trip to Maryland for the weekend to spend it with my kids down here. It’s almost 3am and we got down here an hour ago. I’m tired, the drive was good but it’s been a long day. It’s been a very long day.
We got a lot of snow and sleet last night. The local news station says we got 11 inches. We were only supposed to get 1-3 inches and then it would turn to rain. When I left work Thursday at 6, it was snowing some, but then boom, it was really coming down. It took my 2 hours and 35 minutes to get home. There were accidents and cars spun out everywhere.
This storm caught a lot of people by surprise. This morning, I leave for work and my truck slid off the road on ice. Luckily, I did not hit a thing. Just got it stuck in like 12 inches of mud. The tow truck got me out ok, but my day was shot and I never made it to work.
I case they didn’t believe me, I took a picture of my truck off the side of the road sunk down on snow and mud.
Just a little bit of excitement for me in these past 24 hours. But you know what, I still love the snow!!!!
I have always been thankful for and admired people who work night shifts in any emergency field. That is such a tough job. You are right that it may be time to switch to day shifts if the opportunity is there. Hope you will find the right answers discussing it with your spouse. And I may not work in an emergency nor nights, but I've done multiple 12-hour shifts in-a-row so I can relate to how you're feeling this early morning. Enjoy your day of relaxation and hope Sidney is a good girl in her class.Good early morning! I’m up bright and early as you can see. I fell asleep around 7 last night and never got up. I’m exhausted after almost 6, 12 hour shifts in a row. I get one day off between all that, but with doing all the every day things we all do, I’m always spent my first day off. There is rumor there is going to be 2 daylight positions opening in our ER, which one will be on my weekends off. DH and I are going to have to talk, but after being night shift for going on 14 years, I think it may be time.
I’m just sitting here now with a cup of coffee and reading. We have to take Sidney up to the breeders around 9. This will be her last training class with her. Other than that, today will be a day of relaxation and time with DH and the kids.
Hope you all have a great Saturday!

Good Saturday morning! I worked 13 hours yesterday trying to get everything done before starting my vacation, and I woke up at 5am realizing that I forgot to do one thing. Nothing major, I'll just send a text to my colleague for her to do it. So we got our first snowfall yesterday and it was a rough drive in the morning. Almost got rear-ended by someone going too fast to break properly. Thank goodness they deviated from the lane towards the sidewalk. Some people are idiots when driving in snowy/icy conditions. It's going to be a mild day today but the mercury will drop significantly overnight. Daivd and I are taking it easy right now but we have to go out for some food shopping and to buy him gloves. And I want to go look at Christmas displays in the stores too. Hope everyone will enjoy a great day.
I'm glad he was able to come home. Hopefully the drs will be able to figure, out what is causing all this
