Good morning ~
It’s going to be cloudy today with flurries and highs near 30, we’re currently at 17 degrees. Rocky does not like walking in this weather, I’m really looking forward to some warmer temperatures. Typical day for me of errands and chores, I’ll continue to purge as well, I will be working in the kitchen today. Dinner will be chicken fajitas. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!
xx

Good Morning, Post-Piners and Pre-Eve'ers.

We are indeed between 'Pines Day and Weekend Eve.
But we are also one step closer to Christmas and its associated Season, not to mention nearer to our next Milestone.

This morning's figures:
Days to the Season: 251
Days to Christmas Day: 293

And our proximity to the ONE-THIRD point to the Season has declined to 8 days. ONE WEEK from tomorrow, as the year slips away step by step!

Another chilly day yesterday and we never got higher than 42 degrees despite plenty of sun.
Today will be warmer, at a predicted high of 50, which will begin a trend culmiating in the low 70's by Sunday!
Our present thermometer reading is 28 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Folks.
And get yourself geared for Weekend Eve tomorrow!

Sympathies go out to your family. I’m so sorry for you all.

:( I am so, so sorry. Bless his heart, and your family's, too. :(

SnowflakeMom I am very sorry for your family having to let go of Andre. Sending warm thoughts your way (((hugs)))

I'm so sorry to hear that. My condolences to you and your family.

Sorry to hear that SFM. Nitro had fluid in his lungs too at the end. Was the hardest thing to ever have to do.
Thank you all so much!

Happy Friday Eve...we are all doing ok and hanging in there. Very weird not having Andre around, he was the ultimate velcro dog esp with me so it is weird not having him by my side but I know it is for the best.

I am ready for some spring temps, it is so cold out there. Typical work day for me and I need to catch up on laundry tonight. Hope you all have a good day!

Thank you for the prayers. Unfortunately, we have to bring Andre back at 4pm so they can put him to rest. The vet said he definitely has some fluid in his lungs and recommends we take the necessary steps sooner than later. My girls wanted to see him before we did anything....I know it is the right thing to do but certainly doesn't make it any easier...:(
((((HUGS))))

Good Morning MMC !

It snowed again last night !!! Supposed to get warming up next week. At least it is a nice sunny day.
Off to Woodstock to take mom to her eye appointment, visit with sister inlaw, and of course thrift stores .
Hope you all have a great day.

Stuck at work two hours past closing time because the lock to the front door is not working and I have to wait for the security company to find a guard to come overnight and so far they haven’t had any luck. Not fun.
I hope you didn't have to wait much longer! That stinks.

So sorry to hear. It's always tough to be in this spot.

Good afternoon, couple more day so of this cold before we start to head back to normal or above normal temps for us. Saw a bunch of days of 50+ temps coming and even a day in the 60s. I am itching to get stuff done out side but need the temps to warm up and for the rain to detour someplace else so we can dry out. I am starting to grow a couple ponds in my yard LOL.

Taking our furry buds to the Rainbow Bridge is always difficult...:(

Morning MMC! TGIF! It's been a long week for sure and a hectic one. I'm glad it's Friday. I'm looking forward to a mostly relaxing and fun weekend. Definitely need these weekends more and more each week. The cold will ease this weekend and we'll be back to normal temps for March. And into next week we have actually a few nice days expected with 45-50 degrees and sunshine. Not quite "spring" but that will feel really nice after the cold & snowy stretch we've had. Make it a great Friday!

Merry Friday!
Cloudy skies today with flurries, highs near 35 degrees. I’m just having my coffee and I’m working on a grocery list. I’m going to the butcher later this morning. My father has a doctor appointment and my parents will be coming over afterward to have lunch with me. Other than that I’ll be working on the laundry. That’s about it. I hope everyone has a nice day and a great weekend ahead!
xx

Morning all. Sorry I haven't checked in for a while. Things are going well here. A couple of people were on vacation at work, so I picked up some extra shifts. Plus had the flu for a couple of days. Firstly, I can't believe we're past the 300 day mark already. The year has flown by.

I picked up a couple new Christmas books. I'm always on the lookout for some new reads (at least new to me). Monica Ferris' Crewel Yule. It's a cozy mystery and it even has a crewel pattern at the end for an ornament. Plus Chicken Soup for the Soul's Christmas in Canada. They're a great quick read at the end of the night.

The FIL's memory is still deteriorating, but slowly. The BIL took him for the weekend and he came back more confused and in pain. His back has been sore and sleeping on an unfamiliar bed probably didn't help.

I had to give up my second part time job because they needed me to guarantee two days of availability, which I couldn't because of my other full time position. Oh well, it was only for "pin money" anyway.

Take care everyone. Have a happy Friday and I'll try to keep in touch a little more often.

Good Morning, Excited Eve-of-the-Weekend Explorers.

Yes, sir. We have once again arrived at our little weekend threshhold.
A chance to pause, take a deep breath.....then explore the latest numbers.

Here they are:
Days to the Season: 250
Days to Christmas Day: 292

One more deep breath......
OK, now we can examine the latest Milestone status:
The 1/3 marker Christmas Season 2019 will be here ONE WEEK FROM TODAY.
That's right.
In a scant seven days, we will be entering the SECOND quarter of our Season count.
(How about that, now!)

We made it into the low 50's for our high yesterday, with plenty of sun and calm winds.
Today may not see us quite to that point, and rain is predicted.
Tomorrow will see a repeat before we soar into the 70's for Sunday.
Our current reading shows 41 degrees here on our back door thermometer.

Have a Fantastically Fabulous Friday, Friends!
