Good Morning, Thursday Threshold Thunderers.

And by thunder, we stand on the threshold of another Milestone marker and just one step away from the threshold of a second one!

Today's data:
Days to the Season: 202
Days to Christmas Day: 244

TOMORROW, Guys. We will arrive at the 1/3 marker to Christmas Day 2019.
The following day, the 200-Day Season Window opens and we commence a 100's level Season count.
(Starting to get near the fast track, my Friends!)

It was almost hot here yesterday, as we moved well into the 80's. But it felt nice because the humidity remains low.
Today is supposed to see us up into the mid 80's before we cool off into the mid 70's for tomorrow, which will come with a high chance of precipitation.
Our opening pre-Weekend Eve day temperature is 65 degrees.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Folks!

********** TRAVEL ALERT **********

Well it's that time again, and the Crowns are off to the coast to begin the process of preparing the cottage for our 48th consecutive rental season.
This will be a short trip, and a countdown volunteer will only be needed for one morning, this Sunday.
Thanks in advance, whoever you are!

Thanks Crown! Hope your late April is going well!

Happy Friday Eve...my kids missed the bus so I had to drive them into school today. The carpool line always stresses me out it is so mobbed and everyone is in a rush...lol Typical work day for me and I am catching up on some laundry tonight. I am making tortellini for dinner. Hope you all have a great day!

Good evening, all! Just sitting back to finally relax. Took down my Easter decorations and put up my Americana decorations - I know it's a few weeks from Memorial Day, but I figured since that's the next holiday, I might as well just put them up, especially since I work this weekend and several of the days leading up to May. I'll just leave them up all summer then, until I decorate for fall. I've really accumulated a lot over the years, but love them and think it really adds to the home. Currently watching the Carolina Hurricanes and Washington Capitals hockey game - it's game 7, so whoever wins, advances to the next round.

Hope you're all having a great evening!
I missed the game. Too many chores after church last night.
Michelle and I decorate the whole house for each holiday also. We don't go overboard, but we like all the changes throughout the year.

Brought my husband's remains home yesterday. I know some people believe you should have one final resting spot, but my husband wanted his ashes scattered in 4 different places. All of them except one are on crown land so it's no problem to honour his wishes. The other spot belongs to a relative in a rural community 40 minutes away where he spent many summers as a boy learning about life. I will have to contact them for permission to make that happen.

I'm not doing any of it until what would have been our anniversary in October, but perhaps I'll consider it sooner if I do it over Christmas in July because he supported me in my exchanges and gift-giving over the years and even set me up with the postal box which I have to visit today or tomorrow to change ownership since they hassled me a few times last Christmas season about picking up cards that weren't addressed to the owner.

I brought his remains home yesterday and wound up with three urns; one I am keeping, the other to hold the ashes to be scattered and the third I will offer to his ex-wife. We have become rather friendly over the years and even slept under the same roof on two different Christmases so the grandchildren could have an extra merry time.

O'Malley isn't meowing as much perhaps the smell from a few pieces of clothing is helping him.

When I was in the closet preparing a bag of nice clothes for the youth at the Crisis Centre, O'Malley kept calling, "Maaw". I placed the bag by the hallway entrance and O'Malley sniffed the bag and blocked the door. I kept two of my favourite tops that he wore that still smell like him.

Had my visit with my dad and told him about the call I had received that the two urns were too small to hold the remains so I had to find a larger one. The woman who was handling the paperwork and assisting the funeral director in gathering things held up a cake sized box and said, "This big at least". I guess the strength I was displaying made them think I was cold-hearted; that totally freaked me out because he was inside that box. Anger began to grow, but I didn't let it take hold. I thought to myself, "forgive her, she does not know what she did."

When I went to my dad's, I showed him the indigenous wooden box with strength symbols painted all over it that I picked out and told him how insensitive she was.

We had a good talk and a big hug; he heads out today for his trip.

When I returned home from the Crisis Centre drop off, there was a brief message on my answering machine, "Gary's remains are ready for pick up."

When I got into the car with his remains, I was a bit overcome with emotions and then Sirius 70's on 7 came to my rescue with BABE by Styx. As sad as that may sound, it gave me comfort to sing it.

I brought the urns home, set them up in three different places and O'Malley stopped whining. There's no way he could know what's in them.

I will be okay, but it was really hard sleeping last night.

Not having much luck with a venue for his celebration, hope to hear back from one today that allows you to bring in your own food.

Might have to settle for a church hall.

Thank y'all for your continued thoughts and prayers as I chuck along this unfamiliar track.

Happy Rudolph Day! -reindeer-

I'm still praying for you, my friend.

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

And, as Rich pointed out, Happy Rudy Day!!

I worked on vacuuming the pool yesterday afternoon, and I was close to finishing when I broke the vacuum head. Pushing too hard on it, I guess. So, now I'm out of business AGAIN until I get a replacement. I can either go to the local pool-supply store and pay two prices, or order it online and wait for delivery. Decisions, decisions.

Elizabeth baked a quiche last night that was AWESOME! It used all my Weight Watchers points for that day, but it was worth it LOL.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

That was a great game!!!

It sure was! My whole bracket just fell apart for the east and the west. The only team that made it, that I thought would, was Boston. It's going to be an interesting cup run!

Keeping you in my prayers, during this difficult time.

I work this weekend and can never guarantee how the day will go, so I don't want to volunteer, incase the day is busy, but do want to say, safe travels!

Bummer! I'm sorry you missed it - it was a great one. LOL. I was sad to hear when I missed the Vegas one the night before, so I made up for this one.

I'm glad to hear you do the decorating too - not many people go all out like that, but I think it makes the home inviting and warm.

Good morning all and Happy Rudolph Day! Not much on the agenda for today. I think I'll turn on some Christmas music and pin some Christmas related pins on Pinterest, probably even watch a Christmas movie. DH is teaching all day, but he mentioned for dinner tonight, he wants to take the kids and me out to celebrate my birthday.

Hope you all have a great day!

We will have a new Stanley Cup Champion...

Sounds good...Who gets to choose the dinner venue?

DH just stopped home for lunch and told me it was my choosing, but it will probably end up being one of the kids. LOL - I end up always giving in to them.
