We’ve had nothing but rain for about 6 days solid, it makes even going it for a walk difficult.
My eldest Meg is sick, she’s at uni so I can’t rest easy till I know she’s okay. Sounds like a stomach bug, so she’s having a peppermint tea, painkillers, and an early night.
We’ve got some building work scheduled for 28th October so have had to resist decorating for Halloween/autumn. Won’t be long after that when the tree will go up. Exciting!
Job applications started today - fingers crossed I get a few bites.

I was a bit disappointed that there was no turkey, mashed potatoes or stuffing, but there was plenty of ham, cauliflower, carrots, beans, scalloped potatoes and salad so I can't complain; it just wasn't the traditional fair I'm used to celebrating with but we had 4 Keto diets and 1 vegetarian to serve and the hostess, my daughter-in-law doesn't care for turkey. (Say, what???) I'm told at Christmas #2 son will take care of the turkey and dressing.

I'm glad I went; they were happy to see me. My daughter-in-laws mom presented me with a card because she didn't make it to my husband's celebration of life. She gave me a 10 year of daily prayers card; the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales are going to pray for his spirit every day for ten years.

Hey, it's Hump/Pines Day - waking up with a merry thought -reindeer-

My first cup of coffee went down the drain as the cream curdled - eww.
Second cup with cinnamon bun cream is tasting just fine. Thankfully, I was suspicious of the first cup and didn't even bother tasting it.

Back to work today after being on vacation since last Wednesday.

O'Malley the cat and I will be at the gathering tonight.

Merry Pines Day MMC ~
Not too much going on here, it’s just a typical day of errands and chores. We’re expecting heavy rain later, I’m going to try and get my errands over with early so I’m in for the rest of the day. Dinner will be spaghetti & meatballs. That’s about it. I hope everyone is well and has a nice day!
