********** SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT **********

Binger and Auntie have just reminded me that we are rapidly approaching the time for our Special Post Series, that wonderfully exciting and highly readable lead-in to the beginning of our Christmas Season, on November 13.

Anyone who would like to volunteer for a special post, feel free to step up and claim a day!
Share a story, say what Christmas means to you, perhaps tell us about a decoration or recipe, whatever you want that's Christmas related.

Binger has traditionally posted on Nov 9, and Auntie has requested Nov 12, leaving three more slots available.
And even if you don't post, be CERTAIN to read the messages and start getting that special "Christmas feel"!

There is a collection of prior posts on this site carefully assembled by our Made 582. Here is the link: http://mymerrychristmas.com/forum/threads/special-posts-through-the-years.53723/
Read a few to get an idea of what it's all about if you are not familiar with the series from past years.

Thanks, and we are all looking forward to a fun run up to the Season!!

I’ll give it a try this year. I can’t guarantee that it’ll be any good, but I feel it will be a good thing for me to do, especially after reading all the past special posts. I’ll take Nov 8th (Day 5 before the season)

Merry Monday!

My brother ate an entire peanut butter and jelly sandwich on Saturday! The nurse said his mood had improved and he was quite talkative on Sunday. It has been an up and down time for him, so hopefully there will be more ups than downs now! Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers for him ~ he really appreciates them as do I. xx
PB & J is fine medicine, but PB cookies are easier to chow while guiding a reindeer led sled...Good to hear your sib is feeling better.+j

Good wet Tuesday morning...seems it's raining everywhere!

I see some people wait until the start of the official MMC Christmas Season to start listening to Christmas music. Oh, that I had that kind of willpower :)

Christmas music starts in my house November 1st, this Friday!

I originally had Friday off, to ease into the season listening to the music I've missed so much since last December 25th (I can't listen to Christmas music on Dec 26, makes me miss the holiday too much). But, work-related issues necessitate I be there Friday.

That's okay, it doesn't change the fact the Holiday Season music starts in a short, few days

Christmas music will begin playing in the car, Friday, after I drop my brilliant bride off at her office. I have the day off in prep for a senior high retreat this weekend.

You got it, e_xander. Good Luck!

Hope everyone has a great Monday! I’m in bed sick and have slept most of today but that’s okay! Hope everyone has a great week ahead! Happy that the first of the 3 major -BER holidays is upon us!

Praying you are better soon!

Merry Tuesday!

It so does not feel like a Tuesday so I'm thinking thinking that this is going to be a really long week!

In good news, my brother's bone scan came back negative and he ate even more PB & J sandwiches yesterday. :)

Hello all!
Wow, Halloween is soooo close!
Henry gets to do a little Trick-or-Treating tonight at an assisted living residence. Thursday is suppose to be a lot of rain, so that might reduce how long he is out on Halloween. Although that might also mean more candy for the kids who do go out.
After the rain we are suppose to have some pretty cold weather and could even see some snowflakes overnight on Thursday and Friday morning. That would be great to see Friday morning while driving to work/school.

With Halloween just a couple days away, that also means Christmas time is oh so close. Starting Friday morning, the CDs in the car will transition from Halloween music to the wonderful sounds of Christmas music!
On Saturday, the inside Halloween decor will come down and the Christmas decor will go up. Henry and I are super excited! I am ready for Christmas to start. Just a few more days!

Well, hope everyone is having a great Tuesday!

Thank you to all for the continued prayers and positive thoughts.
My mother in law is slowly improving. She is still in the hospital, but they seem to have the infection under control.
My father in law is struggling with his back, but he is being able to manage the pain currently. He has an appointment in a little over a week to see if they can put cushions between his broken vertebra to reduce the pain and pressure on his spine.
My wife is still making a lot of trips back and forth, but she has been able to go back to work this week and just make trips in the evening.

Thanks again to all!

I'd love to help with the Special Post again this year. I've been idle for a few years. If there is an open date and you need me, I'm ready to go, Crown!

It's been another busy day!

I hope you've all enjoyed your Tuesday. We're getting so close to Halloween!

Happy Tuesday!! I am hearing rain for Halloween...hopefully it will not be too bad for the trick or treating. Work for me and then we are headed to a soccer game tonight. Hope you all enjoy your day!

I don't want to jinx things here for the children, but we usually see a bit of rain or light flurries on Halloween. It's a shame when children have to wear coats over their costumes.

I listen to off and on all year, and daily when I post in the Christmas song a day music thread nearly every day. I listen to the ones that I share and the other posts.

I ran some errands this morning and ended up stopping by at Hobby Lobby. Big mistake. All Christmas stuff was 50% off. I don't have the willpower for that! But, I hoard all of my gift cards received throughout the year because I know that I will have to buy a few new Christmas things. I made it out of there with 9 ornaments and a glass framed Grinch picture with him saying the "perhaps Christmas doesn't come from a store..." phrase. All for $33.00! Not too bad, and it all fit on a gift card I had with room to spare! That means a return visit in my future!

Great finds.
