I remember CW as you and I talked on Thanksgiving AM about how we were minutes away from the parade. Was a surreal feeling.

Another date I love is in Mid-April when the NFL schedules release. I immediately look at the Thanksgiving triple header and smile at the fact that it's on there knowing it seems like a distant reality at that point instead of a fantasy as it does now.

Happy Farewell to January! Greetings on this Friday. By the way, I love the popularity this thread is getting (especially on Thursdays). Thanks for the poll responses. I'll try to have another good one for you in 2 weeks (CW you're up next Thursday. Prepare yourself). Now let's get to our countdowns for the FINAL time in the month of January. We have 300 days until Thanksgiving. We have 275 days until November. We have 214 days until the Bers. Ok so today is the big 300 for Thanksgiving. Look at that #3 because it's the LAST time EVER in this thread that you'll see that number leading ANY countdown. And what's more? We are 2 weeks away until the 200 day countdown until the Bers. YIKES. Already one of our counts will end the "2s" and head to the "1s". That's nuts this early in the year. And we'll celebrate that in 2 weeks. Ok looks like the mild winter weather continues for us right through next week. Easy winter here. Anyone having turkey for the Superbowl?

Just like that NO MORE January until...well until after all of the 3 countdowns above expire and we experience all of the best things of the year again. Our countdowns today on the 1st day of February are as follows: 299 days until Thanksgiving; 274 days until November; and 213 days until the Bers. There you have it. The "3s" are gone along with January. Goodbye to both. No more in this thread ever again. That just makes me happy. And look at how the Bers countdown continues to drop through the lower 2s. We'll get ready for that big 200 marker on Valentine's Day. Another Friday that will be to celebrate here in the Thanksgiving Thread. It's Superbowl Weekend and we're having a 4 foot wedge but I wonder what would happen if instead we replaced that on the table with a 25LB turkey with all the sides? What a great feeling to be in the "2s" all the way around, and with January behind us, I have an extra spring in my step!
Same here. February doesn't seem as bad as January...it's 2 days shorter, a little lighter out, and we even can start to dream about turning the clocks forward and spring time which both will happen next month in March.

Happy Superbowl Sunday! This is my personal first "big marker" since New Years Day. It's just kind of a big day and also makes you feel like you've made some progress through the early part of the year. Let's look at the exact progress we've made in our 3 countdowns. We now have 298 days until Thanksgiving and 273 days until November. Finally, we have 212 days until the Bers begin. How about that? That looks like real progress to me. We are having our annual Superbowl Party and my brother is a 49ers fan so you know what this household is rooting for. It's always a little sad when football ends but then I get excited thinking about the "next time" we see the NFL play real football games we're in the Bers. That just sounds amazing. But it should be a fun party type of day. And that's a good thing. We need as many of those as we can have. Right turkey fans? Have a great Superbowl Sunday!

The Chiefs won. Think about this. We won't see a real football game in the NFL until we're in the Bers again. Crazy isn't it? Happy 2nd Half of Winter! Today is officially the beginning of the 2nd half of winter time. Thankfully we aren't quite yet halfway through any of our 3 countdowns as that would be almost scary this soon. Let's look at those 3 though today to start off this Tuesday. There are 296 days remaining until Thanksgiving. There are 271 days remaining until November. And there are 210 days remaining until the Bers. Now we are down to 10 days until the BIG 200 marker for the Bers. And as I mention being halfway through winter believe it or not in less than a month we'll actually be halfway to the Bers. Now that is scary. I feel like we just started it last year. Well luckily we still have February protecting us right now from moving there. But it's nice to see the progress we've made since this thread started at the end of November. Ok so no turkey today for me but hopefully a good Tuesday anyway. Have a great 2nd Half of Winter!
