Morning Halloween Fans! A cold 21 degrees out this morning but a big warm-up on it's way now. I remember at the Halloween Trail a couple of years ago it was really cold (felt like January). Have a great day!

Morning Halloween Fans! How are you all doing this Tuesday? The weather is lifting my spirits as we expect sunshine and 50s/60s the next 4 days. I'll take that in March. I'll take that in October also! Have a great day!

Good Morning and Happy Tuesday! Wow the week is sure moving faster already for me than it was last week. It felt like I was in quick sand working from home for those 4 days. But none of that this week!

Today is going to be a really nice day here, 64 degrees. Thursday we will see 70's. You know where I'm going with this. As great as it will be to FEEL those warm days, in my brain they are going to remind me more of a nice late September, early October day. Probably will have strong "feels" those days. The only thing missing will be that "filter" that the sun has. Not sure about the rest of you, but that filter here is mostly gone. But we are well within 6 months of seeing it again!

The trips to the grocery store this weekend made me happy to see so much Easter candy everywhere. I have said for a while now, but I believe that "Easter Candy Season" is the last one to stand in our way before Halloween candy starts creeping back in August / early September. You see some limited edition type stuff of patriotic / July 4th individual candies, but as far as seeing things in mass like Easter has right now, I think this is it. That gets me excited too.

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!

Alright, fellow spooks, it's Tuesday, which can only mean one thing: Time for the Seasonal Candy of the Week!

We're going with another controversial selection today: KitKats. A lot of you may be thinking, "What's so controversial about KitKats?" Normal KitKats are almost universally loved; it's when they start throwing out other flavors that things really get interesting. We already covered the KitKat Duos Mocha + Dark Chocolate flavor earlier this year, but Easter requires something a bit different, and it seems that the Hershey's company thinks that "Lemon Crisp" is the answer:

Full disclaimer: I have not been brave enough to try these yet, so I have no idea if they're good, but do any of you have some of these filling your candy dish this Spring? If not, do you plan on trying them? I think inevitably I'll have to try one if only to satisfy my curiosity, but to be honest this really isn't my jam.

Let me know what you think of these, and as always, have a frightfully good Tuesday, fellow spooks!

Saw this in the store and laughed. Didn't know it was "a thing." Not brave enough to try, but maybe I'll get some on clearance.

Oh yeah, Peeps have infiltrated just about everything, from cereal to t-shirts to coffee creamer. It's kind of fascinating, really, to see just how many different things they can shoehorn Peeps into. In fact, I wonder what the most ludicrous use of Peeps is. I bet that Peeps furniture exists somewhere.

I guess a Peeps beanbag might make sense. :)

And don't forget the stuffed Peeps, who wouldn't want that instead of a teddy bear? I haven't tried the lemon KitKat, but I love all things lemon so I will give it a go if i see any. But the Peeps cereal? Nah, I cannot even imagine that. But if someone does, let us know.

Morning Halloween Fans! I haven't watched any Halloween shows lately but I have some time off in the 2nd half of this month so it might be a good time to do it. Have a great day!

Good Morning and Happy Wednesday! I've really enjoyed the weather temperature the last few days. Most people are thinking Spring, but I've really been reminded of that wonderful BER weather we talk about so much. Tomorrow though, is supposed to be 74, so I think even me will feel like Summer for a day.

**MILESTONE ALERT(S)**:

Look at our counts, WOW. What a difference a day makes. Just 5 days away now from the all important 200 Days to October 1st. But before we can hit 200 days to October, we first reach 50 Days to Halfoween, TOMORROW!. Well under two months to the HALF WAY point? It doesn't seem possible does it, but yet here we are!

Have a fantastic Wednesday!

Morning Halloween Fans! It looks like we will move along here with temps in the 60s today just like a beautiful October Day. October is always the best for so many reasons as we all know here. Have a great day!

**MILESTONE REACHED***

Happy Thursday, but most importantly, HAPPY MILESTONE DAY! We have reached another Milestone! Today we celebrate 50 DAYS TO HALFOWEEN.

It seems crazy even saying it, but here we are. Can you believe we are this close to the HALF WAY point? Neither can I friends.

And on MONDAY, we will reach the all-important 200 Days to October 1st. These next couple of days are going to be awesome, friends. So many reminders it seems, that our best times of the year grow closer by the day! I haven't been able to officially start "Christmas Hunting" yet, but when I do, It will pretty much be hammered home that those wonderful last 4 months of the year are coming quickly.

Have a great day! Hope all enjoys this Thursday!

Happy 50 days, fellow spooks! How exciting! I can't believe we're so close to the halfway point. Of course I'll be saying the same thing when we get to 40 days...30 days...20 days...

BUT...this has made me realize that I need to kick my Halfoween planning into high gear. I really want to do something special when we hit that all-important halfway point. I will be fully vaccinated by then, so I'm wondering if a little trip somewhere is in order. No idea where I'd go at this point, and anything Halloween-related might be sparse in April, so I'll probably just have to make the best of it here at home. This is going to require some more thinking...

Anyway, see you all on Monday when we hit that wonderful 200 day marker!

DAYS TO JOL DAY #2 : 18

Good Morning! And TGIF! Today is going to be another great Bers / Fall like day. Overcast, just a bit of sun, and mid 60's. I might cheat again today and play that Halloween / Jack O lantern day soundtrack as I go about my day. I'm more prone to "cheat" on the soundtrack when it is a month that has a Jack O Lantern day. I want it to special, so that's why I only play it "sparingly" when i'm not at JOL Day, or in September & October.

We are about to hit 200 days to October. That's incredible. It's going to be a great weekend. We set our clocks forward tomorrow night when we go to bed, and then on Monday we can wake up to another milestone. I am ready. I've been waking up every day the last few days at around 5:25 - 5:30, and I can only figure that my body "knows" that it is about to be time for the time to change. I will like getting home of an evening and having daylight time to do chores and things outside. As it stands now, for about the past month, it has felt like I've had about 45 minutes to an hour of daylight when I get home.

But isn't it funny how this works? I'm raring for longer days now, but give me a month or so of the horrible humid summer, and I'm ready for it to be dark again at 5:30 lol.

Have a great day!

Morning Halloween Fans! Anyone in the mood for a spooky show? I've got (after today) 11 of the next 16 days off. Maybe it's time to start watching some already? Have a great day!
Yesterday was our first day of being off Cable TV. We had Direc TV for almost 9 years. We finally cut the cord after there were no more promos / deals that could lower my price. Biggest price jump I got was this year, in December of 20', my service went up from $90 to around $124.00. We weren't quite alarmed yet but was concerned, and sure enough in February, it went from $124 to 165$ as the final parts of the Direct TV & AT&T merger took place. That was when we tried calling to get a new deal like we had always done in the past, sorry, nothing we could do, they said.

I tell you all this because when we signed up for Sling TV ($30 bucks a month), my first month comes with SHUDDER, which is a channel primarily geared towards horror / scary stuff. This was a channel that we could not get in our area with Direc TV. And the best part is, I get all of the other channels that I was watching before with Direc TV. Out of everything we were paying for, we found out that we were only truly watching like 10 channels with any frequency. As soon as we found out that they had all of our favorite channels, it was a no brainer.

So I might "cheat" this weekend some more, especially with a JOL Day coming up. Consider this a "test run" for how our wonderful October evenings will be binge watching horror movie marathons & shows....
