I was so excited about the announcements yesterday that I completely forgot about the Seasonal Candy of the Week! So I'm going to remedy that today. We're going to take a break from our usual Easter faire and discuss something with more of a St. Patrick's Day spin. Behold, the vaunted chocolate coins!

(St. Patrick's Day...Irish...leprechauns...pots of gold...coins....it's a bit of a stretch, but just roll with me here.)

How many of you enjoyed chocolate coins like these as kids? Maybe you still enjoy them as adults. I do, so no judgement here. Or maybe, like myself, you dreamed of having a huge building full of them so you could swim through them Scrooge McDuck style.

Perhaps the most problematic thing about these chocolate coins was trying to peel off the foil so that you could actually eat them. Sadly, the quality of the chocolate seems to have decreased since I was a kid, and they don't taste as good as I remember.

What's your take on chocolate coins? Do you ever have them any other time during the year, or do you associate them with another holiday besides St. Patrick's Day? Sound off and let me know!

And with that, I bid you fellow spooks a very wicked Wednesday!
Hadn't even considered getting them for St. Patrick's for some reason. Next year it is! We always get them at Christmas. The Trader Joe's ones taste pretty decent.

DAYS TO OCTOBER 1ST:197
DAYS TO HALFOWEEN:43
DAYS TO JOL DAY #2 : 12

Good Morning Halloween Fans!

Today brings to mind one of those rainy October mornings. It isn't a soaking rain, just light enough to get the chill in you, and there's a slight breeze outside. The street lamp outside is making spooky October-like shadows on the wall from the tree branches moving around!

It's a good time to check our numbers! "Days To Halloween" is still clinging stubbornly in the 200's, but our other counts are really moving now. 197 Days now until October 1st. Promise me when I tell you this one is going to go quick. "Days to Halfoween" is now at 43 days, and our next, immediate significant day here is Jack O Lantern Day #2, jut 12 days away.

There's still just a couple of things to square away for Jack O Lantern Day itself, now that we've got "Dark Arts Sundays" settled. I have to narrow down the actual movie choices for JOL Day itself. Next weekend I am going to visit the market to buy some Apple Cider to have for our festivities, since the snow storm put the brakes on visiting the market last time for JOL Day #1.

Have a great day, friends!

Morning Halloween Fans! Hope you're all doing well. We're almost to the time of year where it often "feels" like October kind of. I always think the early part of spring definitely feels like October in a way. Have a great day!

While Winter is stubbornly clinging to life, I'm actually thankful for it this morning. Stepped outside and was immediately hit by some strong October feels! The cool air made it feel just like a crisp Fall morning. Gosh, I wish it were October already.

I'm trying my darndest to enjoy the ride, though. It's funny that the best part is after the ride is over.

Good evening everyone. Long time no see. I'm starting to feel more "normal" today, PTL!

Today was Halloween Day at our house. Michelle had control of the remote and we watched Hocus Pocus, A House with a Clock in it's Walls, and Ghost Busters.

Rich, get well soon, bud. Sounds like you're almost on the other side of this thing, so hang in there!

Morning Halloween Fans! It's that chill out there that almost feels like late October. Ok it feels colder than that but we've had some cold Halloweens in the past. Have a great day!

Good Morning Halloween Fans! It's Friday once again! And with the weather outside right now, it's hard to not get memories of those wonderful October Fridays that lead into the lazy October Weekends we all dream about. Overcast now, just a light breeze, and about 50 degrees.

Tomorrow is the first day of Spring! I'm excited now to think that "Christmas Hunting" is now just a few weeks away, officially. But why bring up Christmas in Halloween thread? Because of how good all of the "Big 3" go together! Or as @The_Escalation would call it, the "Triumvirate".

I hope everyone has a great day!

A House with a Clock in Its Walls is a new favorite for me.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Goodbye Winter, and HELLO first day of Spring! And also today is a milestone day in the Thanksgiving thread! Knowing all of that feels awesome!

Monday morning is going to see us down in the 30's count for Halfoween. Very exciting. Also by that point we will be at single digits left until JOL Day #2.

The only thing that could make things a tad bit better would be seeing that "Days to Halloween" count get out of the 200's. We will see that happen in April, and it will be awesome!

Have a great Saturday, friends!

Morning Halloween Fans! Well today is great because it's also spring which is the opposite side of the year of Autumn. It kind of makes you look across the calendar towards October and smile. Have a great day!

Last night I signed up for a free trial of Apple TV+, mainly so that I could check out "The Snoopy Show." As an avid Peanuts fan I wasn't expecting much considering Apple has taken the reins, but I actually did enjoy it!

So what does that have to do with anything on the Halloween Countdown thread? Well, episode #3 was completely devoted to Halloween! It was almost like having a new Charlie Brown Halloween special. The art direction is also nothing short of spectacular. I borrowed the image below from someone else's review, but this is from the aforementioned Halloween episode:

DAYS TO HALFOWEEN: 40
DAYS TO JOL DAY #2 : 10

Good Morning Halloween Fans! I have two announcements to bring to you this morning, but before getting into that, I'd like to look over our counts, just briefly. 224 Days to Halloween, we will hit the 200 day milestone for that on Wednesday, April 14th! So just a little less than a month. I speak on here frequently about the significance of getting a count to 200 days and under! Next, 194 days until October 1st, our next milestone on that count will be the 150 Day milestone, which we will reach on Tuesday, May 4th! But before we reach that one, we must first pass through HALFOWEEN, which is exactly 40 days from today, and will happen on Friday, April 30th!. Last in the counts is JOL Day #2, which is just a mere 10 days away, and we will celebrate it on Wednesday, March 31st! Which brings me to my next two announcements:

SolidSnake's Official Film selection for this day:
Darkness Falls (2003)
Trick R' Treat (2007)

And we will observe "Dark Arts Sunday" NEXT SUNDAY, the 28th, as part of the Jack O Lantern Day #2 Celebration.

I'll be watching:
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban

That's about all I've got for today, folks. Thanks for reading with me through my long post this morning. But I was excited to post this stuff!

I'll see if I can capture a few more. My wife has a MacBook that she uses for her photography work, and I can access Apple TV+ on there. I think I should be able to take some screenshots while watching.

Seriously, that whole episode...FEELS.

Morning Halloween Fans! That was a great post by Escalation yesterday. I didn't get to watch it yet but I have 4 days off coming up after Wednesday so I will definitely watch the Charlie Brown Halloween Episode. Have a great day!
