Good Morning Halloween Friends! Today is the start of a new week, but this exact position in a month is always a great one to be in!

You see, today we start down the path towards the wonderful "Holiday Sampling" as I call it. This week we get to enjoy Rudolph Day AND Tom Turkey Day which just so happens to be on the same day (double dose of awesomeness) and then we close out the weekend (or should I say start the path to JOL Day #2) with Dark Arts Sunday! Oh yes, there are going to be lots of FEELS this week and next, and it's going to FEEL great!

Getting into the counts, we are finally in the 30's on the count towards Halfoween, and now a mere single digits to JOL Day #2. Life is good! Have a great Monday!

I remember how at the beginning of the year Halfoween seemed like this unattainable far-off thing, and now we're a mere 39 days away!
I remember after Halloween 20' ended, it never really hit me that it was over because I still had the coming promise of Thanksgiving and Christmas. But man oh man, I remember full well how I felt on January 1st, and even though January had our first JOL Day, the counts looked staggering and it began to slowly dawn on me how much of an uphill climb we had. The same thing happens to me with Christmas!

But to know now that we are roughly a month away from being HALF WAY back, I am seriously starting to get excited. I have a feeling that JOL Day #2 is going to whet my appetite just enough to get me pumped going into the HALF WAY mark. I get these same kind of vibes when we get to around May and realize that soon Christmas is only half way away.

And one thing to keep your eye on is how DIFFERENT this coming season is going to look than last. I never thought I'd say it, but I'm cautiously optimistic that this holiday season might look almost normal again....

Good Morning Halloween Fans! Another day, and another set of numbers to take in. They are all looking pretty good, no? Edge brings up a good point, part of the fun is knowing that we still have a long way to go, but I feel like once these counts get out of the 200's, it's not so far anymore, is it? Heck we are just about ONE MONTH out from reaching the HALF WAY point! After that it will feel like it is all downhill, because it is!

Have a great Tuesday!

Deuces are wild!!!

I'm a little late with the Seasonal Candy of the Week today, but better late than never, right? And can you believe that next week will already be our last Easter-themed selection? Crazy!

Let's get to it! This week's selection is the centerpiece of any good Easter basket: the iconic chocolate bunny.

Naturally there will be disagreement of which chocolate bunny reigns supreme. Do you go hollow, solid, or with some kind of filling? Multiple small bunnies or one large one? Dove, Cadbury, Godiva, Hershey's, or my personal favorite (pictured above) - the Lindt Gold Bunny? Do you eat the ears first? (The only correct answer is "yes.")

Personally, I'm a one-large-hollow bunny guy. The dense, solid bunnies are just too much for me. However, my kids seem to have no problem with them.

What's your favorite chocolate bunny? Feel free to share! And have a haunting evening, fellow spooks!

Morning Halloween Fans! It's been mild here this week. It feels like spring really every day now. It's a great thing. And this time of year I do have those Halloween Thoughts as we approach the Halfway to October time. Have a great day!

Good Morning and welcome to the middle of the week! 1st things first, Happy Rudolph Day Eve to everyone!

Jack O Lantern Day is now a mere 7 days away. To say that I am excited for Jack O Lantern Day is really an understatement. And as I was compiling the numbers this morning, it dawned on me that for the next THREE MONTHS, we are going to have a sampling of Fall / Halloween each month. This month with Jack O Lantern Day, next month when we hit Halfoween, and then in May when we have JOL Day # 3. In a way, it almost makes me think of those last 4 months of the year, where the magic just keeps flowing each month.

Hope everyone has a great wednesday!

I tried to get some more snips from "The Snoopy Show" by using the screen capture on my iPhone last night, but in another very Apple-like move, Apple blacks out any screenshots that you take while watching one of their shows on your device. I'll try the MacBook today. Hopefully that works.

I am still thinking about yesterday's seasonal candy. Yes to chocolate bunnies.

]The_Escalation said one big bunny or several little ones. Who are you kidding? The answer has to be at least one big AND severalsmall ones. Any of the good chocolate will do as long as it is dark. But yes, cheers for the iconic chocolate bunny.

I didn't want to admit that I usually have more than one, but that's the correct answer. ;)

Time is certainly rolling along. Starting our final week of March today. I've taken to this whole "watch an Xmas movie every 25th." It works out well since it allows me to watch stuff I don't have time for during the Xmas season. So may watch something like Deck the Halls or Mixed Nuts. Doing the same with Halloween movies too now for JOL day, though I did sneak one in last month.

Morning Halloween Fans! Hope you're all enjoying this day. Hope it's a nice one for ya. I got the Halloween Feel a bit with this weather. It just is a great time of year right now. Have a great day!

Good Morning and Happy Rudolph Day! Truth be told, I've got Christmas tunes playing right now. Rudolph Day will ALWAYS be my original "special day", as it was this exact routine / ritual that broke me out of a horrible post holiday sadness several years ago, that was the worst I ever felt it in my life. As time went on, I grew to realize just how much THE BERS and HALLOWEEN was a part of everything that made me happy those last 4 months. And thus, several years after Rudolph Day changed everything for me, Jack O' Lantern Day was born, and continues to grow and evolve.

Enough about me and the history lesson, on to the numbers! 220 Days until Halloween. That number is still clinging to the 200's for dear life. But April is going to reward us with seeing that count reach the 200 day milestone as well as get down into the 100 count. That is going to be amazing. Days to October 1st is cruising along! We won't have the next milestone there until May when we get to 150 days, but no stress, being in the 100's feels great! HALFOWEEN is now really creeping up on us, just 36 days to go. This is a day that I've longed for ever since we got into January. And in just 6 short days we will be at JOL Day #2!

I'm sure going to have a great day today because its RUDOLPH DAY, but just a few more days and Halloween side will come out once again. Have a great Thursday friends!

Happy Tom Rudolph Day! This rare celebration occurs when Tom Turkey Day and Rudolph Day fall on the same day of the month. Thankfully we'll never have that problem with JOL Day (although, admittedly, it's a nice "problem" to have)!

The ever decreasing counts make me happy. This might be the first year in a long time that I don't get bogged down in a slump after Easter is over. Typically the days after Easter through the end of June are the worst for me, and if I'm being honest, Memorial Day has always been a bit of a bummer for me since I dislike summer so much (completely selfish reasoning, I know). However, there's so much to look forward to this year with these counts and the ever-present hope that the holidays will resemble "normalcy," so I'm going to try and keep my spirits up.

I'm with you buddy! I do not like Summer at all! I like mowing grass and outside work, but it gets to a point where the humidity just makes it impossible and at times, dangerous, to try and do too much. Around here that is from around the end of June to about half-way into August. In fact, if I even had to "rank" the seasons in order of my most - least favorite, it would look like this:

1) Fall
2)Spring
3) Winter
4) Summer

That's my exact 1-4 as well. I also despise summer, but a brutal summer always makes fall THAT MUCH better. (not that I want a brutal summer, thanks)
