Good Morning Halloween Friends! One day closer to the all important 100 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN milestone, coming right up on FRIDAY!

It's interesting to hear Edge mention that yesterday felt like September. I think all of us Fall / Bers / Halloween people are connected on some wavelength. I had a spell of time for about an hour yesterday afternoon that it just felt like September. I have no idea what caused it. The wind may have blown a certain way, or maybe the Sun took on that "filter" look for just a second. But I felt it too. Major Feels also, btw.

Have a great day!

Morning Halloween Fans! I was just wondering does anyone plan to go see the new Halloween movie in October? It's not too early to discuss it here :). Just wondering. Have a great day!
I have been avoiding scary movies for a long time, they were making me have bad dreams and in theaters I would like to say the audience was getting too young, but I think we all know it was my age that was out of the typical demographic. I had wondered how the closest theater would fare through COVID but I just heard they have done a major remodel, but like SolidSnake I will probably only consider it if I can stream it. I would love to hear your review of it when you see it!

I also am done with movie theaters. If there’s one thing the pandemic taught me it’s that I don't have to be the first to see a huge blockbuster film in theaters when it will be available for streaming or purchase two months later (or even sooner in some cases). It's not worth the money for me personally to go to a theater any more.

Last night I was watching a college football game from last September and got those "feels".
Love it!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Only TWO Days away now from a pretty big milestone - the 100 Days to Halloween milestone. Pretty crazy. And just Saturday, we will finally see all of our counts be under 100. It's almost time, folks.

August is like "Fall Pre-season", and it is only 11 days away. I mentioned in the Christmas countdown thread, that these next 10 days will be the last time our house / lawn is without some form of decorations for the next 5 months!!

Have a great day!

Kroger is fine with skipping over the rest of summer and Labor Day, apparently. I went there last night in search of some early Bers finds - maybe some seasonal coffee - and this display was set up outside:

Now, it would be one thing if these were just pumpkins, but nope. These are Halloween Jack-o-Lantern style planters. HALLOWEEN.

To say that this excited me as I entered the store was an understatement. I went in expecting to see Halloween candy on display and who knows what other goodies, but sadly I found nothing else this thrilling. I did score a box of Maple Cheerios.

So yes, people might complain about "Christmas Creep," but this is "Halloween Creep" at its finest. And I love it!

That's great!

A few thoughts:

I enjoy the Halloween season and seeing the kids trick-or-treat. I enjoy purchasing Halloween related food items and drinks to enjoy with my family. I also enjoy the Halloween decorations, but agree with other posters and skip the movie theater experience: too expensive for me and my fam.

Fall decorations are a plenty in my local Hobby Lobby, Michael's and soon the grocery store. I have seen some fall food items (pumpkin spice everything) and will consume some this holiday season. Yeah 'Bers. I enjoy seeing everyone here discuss the upcoming holiday season and pretty much say goodbye to the hot weather.

What are your thoughts on the hot weather? What do you like to see in the stores and consume during the Halloween/Fall season?

I like to pick up some Milano pumpkin spice cookies. I try to save some for after New Years. And I want to try the pumpkin pie KitKats this year.

Apple Cider doughnuts are a seasonal favorite of mine and I like the increased availability of fun size candies (even though I just eat more of them!). And homemade pumpkin bars with cream cheese frosting!

There is a farm store more or less close to my house (less rather than more), and each fall they offer these frozen cider drinks. When they start making them (usually late August), then I know autumn is really here.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! I love seeing the pictures and discussions above regarding the "Halloween Creep". I myself am just waiting for Wal-Mart to start putting out Halloween stuff so that I can buy a bunch of the large plastic jack o lantern candy pails, and hopefully, buy some extras to put up in the attic to have as spares for when the new ones inevitably go brittle from the sunlight. The old ones I had lasted me 7 years! I found some online in January of these year, but they were the small ones, and while I still plan on using them for decorations outside, they don't really replace my old ones. They will be out soon though!

Folks, we are ONE DAY now, away from a huge milestone day, and that is the 100 Days to Halloween milestone that is TOMORROW!! We will have a thrilling weekend seeing ALL of the counts on this thread be below 100!

Today's high is 79 degrees, and tonight gets down in the 50's. It's gonna be that way the next 3 days! No complaints here!

Have a great Thursday, friends!
