Happy Decking December! Today we look at our 3 countdowns on this fine Thursday morning. But first we realize that this is the first Thursday since Thanksgiving. How does that feel? Does it feel like a week ago or longer/less? Well the countdowns are as follows: 357 days till Thanksgiving, 334 days till November, and 273 days till The Bers. Our next milestone will be on the 21st of this month (far away still) which will be the Arrival of Winter (the 1st of 3 seasons on our journey back to Autumn). Technically it’s still Autumn now folks. So take it all in. We have had some early winter type days here but also still some autumn weather like today with temps expected to reach the 50s. Not a bad day at all for the month of December. And I hope you’re all relaxing and enjoying your time. Just remember last Thursday we were all so excited. And we had a great time. And we all made it better for each other. Our friend CW has signed on this year to try to deliver 52 straight videos to you the next 52 Thursdays. Will he be able to do that? We’ll see won’t we. But I know he’ll do his best and at times probably post videos when we don’t even expect it. Thanks for your answers to Wednesdays poll. I wanted to shake it up this year and separate it from the videos days. Have a great Decking December!

1st Thursday since Thanksgiving. Wow. Thanksgiving is one of the times I really miss during the long offseason. I'm glad thinking about Thanksgiving always gives me the feels, and just one more thing to look forward to in the perpetual countdowns!

Our next milestone is on the 21st which is still far away and that will be the Arrival Of Winter (the 1st of 3 seasons on our return to the most wonderful season of all…Autumn!). It’s interesting folks that we’re still technically in Autumn and The Bers. Yet it feels different in December doesn’t it? Not in a bad way just in a different way. It’s almost like The Bers/Autumn is September 1 – November 30 and then December is simply Christmas Season! I was thinking yesterday this week I look at as a “free week” for any specific holiday and this week is for this thread (Thanksgiving). What I mean is that after this week we’ll still have 50 full weeks to go through to get to Thanksgiving Week. That’s such a perfectly round number I always look at this week as almost an “extra week” and like we get almost another fresh start once we start the 50 countdown. I always feel that way about Christmas too during New Years Week waiting for the 50-week marker. Thanks CW for your first Thursday post of this thread. Have a great December TGIF!

Edge, September 1 - Thanksgiving is basically "my" Bers schedule, with Fall "Preseason" starting in August, and then it transitions over to "Christmas Everywhere" following Thanksgiving!

While we're talking about the changing of seasons, I gotta say the weather down here is completely unseasonable for this time of year. The high today is 79, and tomorrow it will be 80! I was telling my wife yesterday that November felt more "December-like" than December itself.
