One of my goals is to rock it like Garfield's Grandma!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I bought 2 Hallmark Christmas movie t shirts yesterday and 2 Christmas movie slippers for the off season. Got 2 the register and was informed that my subscription to the ornament club had expired. I renewed and bought my stuff, got a free 2021 Mickey Mouse ornament. Hate to see the time flying by so fast.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 355
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 332
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 271

Happy December Weekend. “Free Weekend” is here. If you don’t know what I’m talking about then check out yesterday’s post. Our countdowns for today are 355 days till Thanksgiving, 332 days till November, and 271 days till The Bers. Our next milestone is going to be on the 21st of the month when we welcome in the Arrival Of Winter and that will be the beginning of the 1st of 3 seasons. That is hard to imagine but it really will happen on that date. That’s still a long way away which is good. This whole “Free” week thing I talked about yesterday just makes sense to me. It almost is like after a big holiday you need the week after to really consume everything that happened and the whole round 50 # which begins on Monday (50 weeks till Thanksgiving Week) just seems like such a perfect reset button. And then you feel like you’re on that really long road again starting up. Right now it almost feels like in the counts we have been just “approaching” the road slowly but surely. It’s all fun though being here every day. And having all of you to discuss these things with all year long. I hope you’re all hanging in there and in the Christmas spirit right now. I hope you’re ready for the weekend. Have a great December Weekend!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 354
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 331
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 270

Happy December Sunday! It’s the final day of “Free Week” folks. I mentioned this the other day but the week after a holiday really feels like a free week. Like we could probably start this thread on Monday (tomorrow) if we wanted to. But we don’t because we literally do a year-round countdown. Well let’s look at the countdowns this Sunday AM. We have 354 days remaining until Thanksgiving (that means we made 10 days progress since we started counting!). We have 331 days remaining until November and 270 days to go until The Bers (Of course I mean 2022…we’re technically still in The Bers right now). Our next milestone isn’t for a while until winter arrives on December 21. Until then we all need to relax and chill. And I’m ok with that. I hope you are too. Soon it will be getting “chilly” enough where we want it to warm up but for now it still hasn’t been that terrible. And I honestly hope it stays that way a good part of the winter. Now Thanksgiving fans I hope you’re all relaxing and enjoying this Sunday. I’m headed to NYC (rare for me) to see the tree all lit up and explore a bit. Something different from my normal routine Sunday. And maybe I’ll find a gift somewhere too. You never know. Keep turkey time here sacred and we’ll talk on Monday with a MAJOR # to the weekly countdown as you know. Have a great December Sunday!

Yesterday for dinner, we had the same new/special Mac & Cheese recipe that we served at Thanksgiving. It's like 3 or 4 different cheeses, half & half, and bread crumbs on top, along with a whole lot of other stuff I don't know, my wife is the chef in our family, I would burn water if I tried to cook. Eating that made me think of Thanksgiving.

And we are having it again on Christmas, where I am sure some of my thoughts will turn over to Thanksgiving. (Heck, we will really be only 10 months away from Turkey Day at that point!)

Have a great day!

I'm a sucker for a good mac and cheese. You must ask your wife to share her recipe!

Anyone else really miss Thanksgiving?

Don't get me wrong. I'm knee deep in Christmas right now, and I'm not pining for it to go away, but I wish I could turn back the clock and enjoy Thanksgiving week all over again.
I already hit the holiday wall. Thanksgiving ends and I know Christmas will soon end too. Its just a huge blow to my will to carry on..lol

I did distributed them and they were well-loved. Brought some tears but that is okay. Thank you for asking.
I am glad you handed them out and with the tears came wonderful memories that the ornaments bring.
