DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 319
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 297
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 236

Happy January Sunday! Today folks we have 319 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 297 days left until November, and 236 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestone(s) will be back to back folks. And they will be in 18 days when we reach Tom Turkey Day #2 followed immediately by the 300-Day Marker Till Thanksgiving. I think at that point we kind of will have this feeling of “Here we go again.” The 300s always feel “safe” in a way like you know there’s a ton of time away. I think 200s feels safe too but not quite like the 300s which makes it seem like infinity. We move ahead into another day of our Winter Wonderland without any signs of snow here (or real cold either). But hey I’ll take as much of this as we can. We had a brutally cold Christmas weekend but since then we’ve really been fairly (or even very) mild. It kind of came in this year just to visit us in time to have Santa shivering. But I still think back to Thanksgiving where it was 50+ here and sunny in the afternoon. Was really a beautiful day for late autumn. Now turkey fans there is still football on this Sunday. Yes, the regular season concludes this weekend. It’s amazing how the season is still going in January and the playoffs won’t conclude until almost Valentine’s Day. Wow. Football crosses so many seasons doesn’t it? Ok turkey fans you enjoy your Sunday you got it? And don’t delay in that. Have fun. It’s a great day. Enjoy it. Gobble Gobble. Have a great January Sunday!

To me I think once any count gets into the 200's, there seems to be an entirely different "speed". Even with January days dragging by slowly now, All of our counts (Christmas ones, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Bers, etc..) that have gotten out of the 300's really are moving with subtle, almost imperceptible speed.

You mention NFL football which is still a staple/hallmark of Bers / Thanksgiving, which is continuing for a few more weeks and even the Super Bowl in early February. After that, you kind of realize how close we are to Spring, and even with reaching Spring there is that close proximity like you said to the "Halfway for everything" coming up. Spring for me is when all of the counts seem to "let loose" and then time really starts zooming!

Gobble Gobble!

Well said!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 318
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 296
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 235

Happy January Week! Today folks we move ahead into a brand new week looking at our counts as follows: 318 days till Thanksgiving, 296 days till November, and 235 days till The Bers. Our next milestone(s) will be back to back but they won’t happen this week nor next week at all. They will be Tom Turkey Day #2 which is 2 weeks from Thursday and that will be followed by the 300-Day Marker Till Thanksgiving which will be 2 weeks from Friday. Looking forward to both for sure. But right now it’s Monday folks and we are moving into a brand new week of our Winter Wonderland by doing our weekly Monday thing talking about our Weekly Countdown Till Thanksgiving Week. Want to see what it is? Well here it is: 45 weeks till Thanksgiving Week. Fantastic. We are now halfway from 50 to 40. Pretty amazing isn’t it? Time to hit the brakes already? Could it be? Well turkey fans I hope you all enjoy your day today. I hope you all have a great Monday and start to your week. Hopefully it will be filled with lots of fun and excitement. And I hope it will be a good one for all of you as we continue moving right into the dead of winter. But the weather here continues to be mostly above average/mild with really no snow still. I’m thinking eventually that will change faster than a plate you can clean when you’re hungry on Thanksgiving Day. Have a great January Week!

Wow already in a 40's count on the "weeks". You know, I was thinking about the weeks and days count yesterday, across all of the threads. The general consensus seems to be that any time a daily count gets down into the 200's, there seems to be a difference in speed. But when does the "weeks" count feel like it moves differently? Well me personally, I think once the weeks get down into the 30's, then it "feels" and moves differently. We're a long way from a 40's count on the weeks to Thanksgiving. But maybe not as far as it seems right now this morning? Before February is out we will be down in the 30's on the weeks to Thanksgiving. Just amazing.

I am indeed thinking Turkey thoughts this morning! Have a great day!

I think somewhere between 22-25 weeks might be the magic number for me. That is usually right around a daily count of 175 days and nearly to the 150 day marker. I'll just say 25 weeks since it is a nice, round number.

I don't really feel that time has "picked up" for me yet, but January is kind of a lazy month that takes its time to pass by. Time was really flying during the bonus months, but now things are kind of stalling. I don't think we're in any danger of needing to hit the brakes yet.

I froze some meals out of Christmas leftovers and took one out of the freezer so I am having turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy and sweet potatoes for dinner
I did too! I have three "Christmas meals" waiting for me in the freezer, I am saving the first one for Rudolph Day #1, and then I hope to have another on February's Rudolph Day, and I am going to keep the third for a night when I am missing Christmas more than usual.

I am feeling good about 45 weeks until Thanksgiving-- the weekly count is one of my favorite things about Mondays!

I froze some meals out of Christmas leftovers and took one out of the freezer so I am having turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy and sweet potatoes for dinner, I will add some steamed asparagus and have a feast. Will definitely give me huge Thanksgiving feels.
Oh, yum!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 317
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 295
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 234

Happy Double Digits January! Today folks we have 317 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 295 days left until November, and 234 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestone(s) aren’t coming soon thankfully but we do acknowledge that they are back to back milestones. They will be Tom Turkey Day #2 which will be 2 weeks and 2 days from now. The day after that we’ll reach our 300-Day Marker Till Thanksgiving. Awesome. We move along in our Winter Wonderland here together folks having fun together in the first 10 days of January still. Happy that we’re here together on this Tuesday. And it’s picture day of course! I love Tuesdays for that. And I’ll post a picture later today. But now of course you can post any that you want to if you would like. Anytime I see anything that reminds me of Thanksgiving it always makes me happy. Now for all of you turkey fans out there you enjoy your day 2 of the week. This is going to be a long week for sure as we’re all used to holidays and stuff still. But we’re definitely getting back into the groove I think now. Keep it going turkey fans. Enjoy your day today. And keep that spirit of Thanksgiving in you and it will help you on this 2nd day of the week. Gobble till you Wobble as we like to say in this thread. Someday we’ll be doing that again. Have a great Double Digits January!

I'm trying hard not to rush it, but it will be really nice to not have anymore 300's counts in this thread. I am also starting to get pretty excited for Tom Turkey Day because it will be my "first" Tom Turkey day with pulling out some new ideas from the bag of tricks. It will be fun for all!

Have a great Tuesday!

Alright, it's picture day! Here's one of my very favorite Thanksgiving dishes (and I love it outside of Thanksgiving too):

mac-and-cheese-1-of-1-75.jpg

(That's not my mac and cheese, btw. Just a picture I found from someone's recipe.)

Charlie Brown finally gets the football at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade:

And of course, everyone's favorite turkey:
