Happy February TGIF! Today folks we have 293 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 271 days left until November and 210 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestone will be the all-important 200-Day Marker Till The Bers. It will happen 10 days from now folks. Woohoo. We move another day into February and our Winter Wonderland. It may not look so much like winter this weekend (not really any snow predicted) but it will very much FEEL like it with an arctic blast of air heading our way. It’s going to be awesome. Or maybe not but hey it’s winter. We enter our 3-day weekend stretch in this thread so we get to quiet and calm things down now. It should be a lot of fun and great to have. I enjoy this time of the week now in this thread even though I love all of the fun stuff leading up to it Monday through Thursday. No matter what your plans are for this Friday and the weekend ahead please enjoy your day. And stay warm if you’re getting some of that REAL cold stuff coming your way. Fortunately, it doesn’t look like it will last long. Not surprising the way this winter has gone. It’s been mostly a dud if you’re a big fan of real cold and snow. Not a lot of either one really at least in my area. But we still have more time to go in the 2nd half of winter. Gobble Gobble. Keep the turkey faith my friends. This one used to be broadcast back-to-back with A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. I still watch it every year, although it's much harder to come by now that Apple owns the rights. I think it's included on the Blu-ray and DVD release, though.

Now that we are in February, I wish for it to be Spring soon. When Christmas is over and it won't snow, I just want to go on to the next season. We are getting an arctic blast too for the next 24 hours, but thank goodness it is short lived and temps outside will only be brutal for about 12 hours today. We don't have to worry too much.

Happy February Weekend! Today folks we have 292 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 270 days left until November, and 209 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestone will be the 200-Day Marker Till The Bers. It will be a major one folks. I know all of you will feel it when it gets here. But for now we are enjoying the middle of our quiet 3-day weekend here in this thread. And we move ahead here in our Winter Wonderland with it FEELING like the arctic out there. Certainly a real winter feel this weekend but as this winter has been rather easy we have a quick warm-up coming that looks to last all of next week. Nice. I’ll take it. And turkey time is coming folks. It’s not happening right now. I’m still talking with the powers that be as to when we will have it but whenever you have it I hope you share it if you have any turkey this month. February is a good month for it with the cold out there. Put the oven on and warm things up inside. A good reason to do that. I hope you all had a great week this week. I did but now I’m really looking forward to this weekend. The weekend indeed is important to try to enjoy as much as you possibly can. And stay warm inside. Oh one last thing I saw a turkey down my block yesterday. He was following a car. It was so funny. I wanted to take a picture but didn’t have my phone with me. Happy Saturday friends! Just about a week away now from our next "Food Day", which will be Super Bowl Sunday! When the whole family is around the table, it is hard to not get those Holiday vibes. I love it. Kind of a side note here, but I also love how it feels on Easter Sunday knowing that the next "big Holiday meal" will truly be Thanksgiving (Unless we have a halfway-Thanksgiving) before then.

I definitely think I am looking forward to the Super Bowl more than ever before because it is going to be my second "Appetizer Exchange". So far we have 6 hot dips and 3 varieties of sliders. Everyone is going to bring different chips/dippers and I am going to make a dump cake. Simple and easy!

I'll be so excited for Superbowl Sunday all week...I hate to compare it to Thanksgiving and Christmas Weeks but...it's actually a big/exciting week to me similarly (obviously on a smaller scale).

Happy Week Till Superbowl! Today folks we have 3 counts looking ok to me. We have 291 days left until Thanksgiving, 269 days to go until November, and 208 days remaining until The Bers. Our next milestone will be the 200-Day Marker Till The Bers. It will happen 1 week from tomorrow. That means we have no milestones in our week ahead. A quiet week but as you know following this thread Monday through Thursday is never quiet here. We have our special stuff each day. And we continue today and conclude our 3-day weekend in this thread from all the hustle of the week. We move along in our Winter Wonderland after a bitterly cold last couple of days it’s going to warm up nicely (for winter at least). I hope you all are enjoying your weekend thus far. It looks like it’s going to be a good finish to the weekend later today. We’re having pizza. And just going to hang out. Nothing too crazy today. I like that. I’m glad we all are having fun and enjoying the weekend together. And yet, I kind of get excited about a new week coming too. It’s good when you can enjoy the week and the weekend too. And heck I’m even enjoying winter this year. I hate to admit that but it’s true. Now for all you turkey fans out there I hope you have a great Sunday. We had some conversations yesterday about what kind of food / appetizers we were having for Super Bowl Sunday. It had a very "holiday feel" vibe to it, almost makes me think of the months leading up to Thanksgiving when we start nailing everything down..

Happy Superbowl Week! Today folks we have 290 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 268 days to go until November, and 207 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be the 200-Day Marker Till The Bers which will be 1 week from today. We move ahead here into this week of February with our eyes still on our Winter Wonderland time of year here in this thread. And it certainly felt like winter this weekend but as has been the case this winter it doesn’t seem to last long. Milder than average all week this week is predicted for my area. It’s Monday folks so our busy 4-day stretch begins here with our Weekly Countdown Till Thanksgiving Week which now stands at 41 weeks. This is kind of the quiet #. Last week was big having gone through 10 full weeks and next week will be big hitting a big round #. But turkey fans actually we don’t really have 52 weeks ever so we really have 51 (we don’t count Thanksgiving Week as a countdown we just enjoy being there). So technically since Thanksgiving Week ended we have completed 10 full weeks now. Yup so I guess 41 is a significant number more than I realized. And the next 2 will be huge for obvious reasons. Now for all you turkey fans who are ready to embrace a brand new week here in February I encourage you to consider a Turkey Superbowl! SS brought that up. If anyone does it I think they deserve an award. I hope you all enjoy your Monday. Have a great Superbowl Week!​

I truly don't think that a "Turkey Superbowl" is in the cards for this year, especially since we already decided on doing a turkey at a later date in February as part of our mini Thanksgiving / virtual mini-Thanksgiving on here. But I can tell you this, I have been obsessed with the idea ever since we somehow got on the subject of if anyone had ever cooked a turkey on Super Bowl Sunday. I can also tell you that if I have my way, for the 2024 Superbowl, we will indeed have a turkey dinner that day, and The Super Bowl will serve as the February "mini Thanksgiving" because it will truly have everything that day that a "normal" Thanksgiving would - (Football, Family, appetizers, etc...). I think that will be a cool idea to look forward to this "Thanksgiving Offseason" as it would be only a few months away by that point in time.

But the Super Bowl week is here, it does feel a little bit like the week leading up to Thanksgiving! I'll take Holiday Feels however I can get them!! Have a great day!
