20 days to Halfoween -- that's still plenty of time to enjoy all that Spooky Spring has to offer.

And ironically, the next major "candy season" after Easter is Halloween. Time to start placing bets on how early CVS breaks the street date this year.
I talked about this just yesterday as we were putting away the Easter candy from the baskets and what not here. The true next candy season is indeed Halloween candy.

Things like pumpkin spice coffee, and cinnamon things will predate the Halloween candy by a few weeks, but I still think that we will see Halloween candy out in some shape or form by the very beginning of August!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! A new Spooky Spring day awaits us today. I'm thinking about watching maybe a Halloween episode or two of South Park tonight. I'm loving how this weather so far is feeling so much like very early October. I'm enjoying the cool nights and the chilly mornings before the afternoon gives way to what I like to call, "Bers Heat".

Looking at our counts, the next official JOL Day will be in 50 days from now - that seems far away but remember we don't have a JOL Day in April specifically because of having "Halfoween" on April 30th. We are going to break into a 150's count TOMORROW on Days to Halloween Season. But the big milestone, folks, IMO will be on Friday when we reach 200 Days to Halloween. That will be the last time we see 200's in this thread until a new 2024 thread gets started on Halloween night. So take that in and soak in the 200's for a least a few more days because pretty soon they will be gone with the wind.

My Tuesday Halloween thought this week is what I like to call "Hoody Weather". So far through Spooky Spring, we have been able to enjoy "Hoody Weather" in the evenings and especially in the early mornings. Throwing on a hoody because of cold weather, I am instantly reminded of The Bers and Fall weather. And when I'm outside working, if I get too hot, the hoody is easy to take off and then I can cool down. I don't quite think you have that luxury in winter when you have too many layers. That's my thought for the day. Have a great day!

I really enjoy "Hoody Weather" after a long hot summer. I remember going up to the mountains late last summer and loving the cool, dry air.

My Tuesday Halloween thought is about the Halloween Carnival we had last year in our town. Will it return this year? Will our full-blown three-day long Fall Festival return? I am hoping that we get at least one Halloween activity here, but I also need to start researching other options just in case.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Edge has it right this morning. It's 65 degrees outside and that for sure doesn't feel like October. It feels more like August or very early September. August is "Fall Preseason" in my mind, and September is the sweet spot, so feeling like either of those today is not a bad thing.

We have now broken into the 150's on the days to Halloween Season, and of course the big milestone we are tracking is obviously Friday when we reach 200 days to Halloween. I can't say it enough, that is the very last time we will see a countdown with a 200 in it until Halloween night this fall. So if you are one that enjoys still being in the 200's to something, enjoy today and tomorrow, because after this we won't see 200's for a long time.

Have a great day, friends!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's a cool Thursday morning - 52 degrees outside but warming up to the mid 80's. Another day on the warm side but these mornings still make me think of The Bers!

Obviously today we are standing on the doorstep of a major milestone TOMORROW - that being reaching the 200 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN milestone. I hope that all of our "regulars" can be here with us!

Have a great day and try and think those Halloween thoughts!

Last night we went out for a quick drive, and on the way home we saw a sunset that was about as close to a Bers sunset as we're going to get here in the spring. It wasn't as dark as the telltale purple and orange hues that we get in October, but I still got some big-time Feels. Perfect for Spooky Spring. I think I'm going to listen to the Great Pumpkin soundtrack today.

We have had some Halloweens with weather like today. It is cloudy, with the clouds real low and it is windy and has been raining then snowing then raining again. Should have expected it as my jonquils started blooming on Tuesday.
