50 days until October means 49 days until my Halloween decorations go up! September 30th is a Saturday and I know what I will be doing 7 weeks from right now!

Good morning all!

We are about to head out and do some shopping today. Going to a lot of comic book stores and game stores. But we are also going to hit some stores known for having Fall and Halloween stuff out now. So, hopefully I will have some good Code Orange news to report later today.

*MILESTONE DAY*

Happy Milestone Day, friends! Today we have reached just 50 DAYS to October!

It hardly seems possible, but as I always say, the counts never lie. While I am out and about on my travels this weekend I am hoping to indulge in more Halloween / Code-Orange findings. I might get a Hobby Lobby run in too, if I can swing it.

In other sort of Halloween / Scary / Spooky Related news - Red Dead Redemption, a beloved original Xbox 360 game, is coming out for PS4 and the Nintendo Switch next Tuesday. The game has also included a full-size DLC entitled "Undead Nightmare", where zombies have overran the wild wild west. I played it a long time ago and very much enjoyed Rockstar's take on the zombie genre. It will be good to go down memory lane once again. With the PS5 having backwards compatibility with PS4 games, I'm going to play it with the full power of the PS5. I can't wait. Get back in that hole, partner!

Have a great day, friends! Think those Halloween Thoughts!
This is one I missed when it originally debuted on the Xbox. I probably won't get it at launch (still having too much fun with Tears of the Kingdom), but I imagine the first time it goes on sale I will pounce on it.

As for Code Orange, it's happening so frequently now that I scarcely have to look for it. Last night I was at Walmart, and the Fall aisle was out in full swing along with a bunch of Halloween shirts. It made my heart happy to see them.

Good evening all!

Well, the outing today was successful, though not as much as I had hoped. Menards, which normally has a lot of Halloween stuff out by now was just starting that process. However, we went to Marshalls and At Home and were able to pick up a few things as both had plenty out.

We also saw where the closest Spirit Halloween store will be, but it did not have an opening date yet.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Sunday!

I enjoyed seeing all of the Halloween stuff out yesterday when I went to Walmart. Like @The_Escalation said, it's easy to find "Code Orange" now, you hardly even have to look!

Today is going to be another warm day, but only in the mid 80's, and I love how it cools down around sunset. That sun is setting earlier and earlier now! I can't wait to see how the sunsets will be when we reach the end of this month!

Have a great day, friends! Think those Halloween thoughts!

A bag of Kit Kat minis is up to $7.76, I didn't add it to my cart, but I know I will at some point, and I know I say this every year... just one bag.

Morning all!

Just got back from the grocery, lots of Fall items out now. We didn't pick many up yet, but will soon for sure. Now that we are in the middle part of August I am struggling not to go all in on all things Fall. Trying to stay strong until Sept 1. Of course I am letting a little Fall in here and there. But come Sept 1, all bets are off.

Just checked the garden and the pumpkins are growing well. Actually, they have taken over! Vines growing in other garden beds. LOL

I have 3 good sized pie pumpkins that are starting to turn orange. I have probably 3-5 others that are growing nicely and still green. And another 2-3 that are quite small still. So overall I am happy with where they are. I should have enough for my pies and bread. I try to make a bread in October. I bread and pies for Thanksgiving and bread and pies for Christmas. So I really need 5 total. Anymore is just a bonus.

For a treat, that is expensive, but what will that price do to the trick or treat bowl. I noticed the big containers of M and M's at Sam's earlier this week. The last time I priced them they were $9.99 and now they are $14.99. Yeah, I passed them up.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Monday to you! Nobody likes Mondays, and I especially don't, but it starts off the new week and every day that we get "in the books" is a day closer and closer to The Bers, October, and eventually Halloween.

You can see from looking at the counts above that we will indeed see only 30 DAYS to the official Halloween Season, coming our way this Saturday. Can it really be so close? Time marches on and we can see that we are just six weeks out from October!

We're watching for another "mini heatwave" that is supposed to hit on either Sunday or Monday this week. Yesterday it was supposed to reach 96 on Sunday, that number has now backed off again. It will last for only one day but retreat within a matter of hours. I wonder if that will be the "last" time that it gets that hot. I never remember Septembers ever being in the 90's. Either way, we are prepared!

Have a great day, friends!
