Halloween 2024 Countdown!

I know we don't have weekly thoughts in the Halloween thread but I have one today: I wonder if a turkey has ever kept its mask from Halloween and worn it to keep from ending up on the farmer's chopping block?

We do have weekly Halloween thoughts. We started doing them last year beginning in January. We did a weekly Halloween / October subject / thought every week up until we got back to The Bers. I plan on doing the same thing again this year, and since Halloween is on a Thursday, I plan on doing them every Thursday. Of course, anyone is free to add one at any time, but I feel like in 2024, Thursdays will be the "dedicated" day for that.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's Wednesday! At long last, we have safely arrived mid week and pretty soon we will feel those weekend vibes start rolling in. I love the weekends like everyone, but I do think that Wednesday and Thursday might be my favorite days of the "normal" week. And getting up tomorrow and going to work and thinking, "wow, we are almost at the weekend before Thanksgiving". That's good stuff.

Tomorrow we reach our little mini milestone of 350 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN. I know it has only been about two weeks since Halloween, but it feels like longer. I think that's what this time of year does to us. It's a good thing. We are all focused on Thanksgiving now and Christmas, and these "bonus months" that we are in now play a big role. When we start really going after the milestones in January, you will be surprised how different the counts look. It happens to me every year and it is always amazing.

But right now we are enjoying where we are and step by step almost at "The Weekend Before". There's seriously MAGIC out there right now. Have a great day, friends!

It does feel like so much longer than two weeks since Halloween ended. It’s strange…I’m in the midst of Thanksgiving season and yet I still miss Spooky Season. Those Fall vibes have all but left. At the same time, I love this time of year that we’re in now, so I’m happy. It’s hard to ever feel “down” during the Bers.

I know, but that is not that long ago but it feels so distant now. It is kind of crazy that Thanksgiving is next week. That short time between Halloween and Thanksgiving is really noticeable this year.

It's 350 Days until Halloween 2024! Lots of people have asked how it could have been only two weeks even though it has felt like so much longer. I'm not sure to be honest with you. It feels like Halloween has been gone at least a month.

Our next milestone will be in exactly five days when we reach 300 days to Halloween Season 2024. We continue to crawl along towards the weekend, but it should get a little easier now that it is already Thursday.

Evening Halloween Fans! Well 50 weeks from today is Halloween. Lol. I always like when it's 50+ weeks. It makes you realize how fresh the new countdowns are. Ahh well some Halloween candy like I've been having mostly one piece per day continues. Happy Halloween!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Friday! At long last the weekend is here. And today starts "The Weekend Before". Thanksgiving is next week. And this weekend before Thanksgiving is one of the most magical times of the year.

We're moving along in our countdowns but still moving pretty slowly despite November feeling like it's tearing by. Our next milestone coming up will be in four days as we reach 300 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON.

We started the counts this year on this new countdown thread with SEVEN main counts. That was a new thing for this year as normally I wouldn't add the "other" counts until after January 1st (JOL Day, Days to Spooky Spring, Halfoween,). On New Years, The Bers count will return. Out of those 7 counts, three of them are still in the 300's, one in the 200's, and two more are in the mid 100's. The JOL Day Count is counting down to January 31st, and it is at its highest in November, as next year it will never be farther than 30/31 days. Next week, we will have another count exit the 300's and enter into 200's territory. So only two out of those 7 main counts still are hanging in the long 300's. I mention it because it just goes to show you that even though it feels like we aren't making progress, we are.

I went to Big Lots today to see what their Friday special was (as near as I could tell there wasn't one). They had their Halloween 90% off. Didn't see anything I wanted, pretty much dregs, so pretty sad.

Today I'm on my way here soon to the world famous Kris Kringle holiday bazaar, that is stopping in Hagerstown, MD this weekend. It's nearly Christmas Time every where!
