I mentioned before that this year I plan on partaking in JOL Days every month. As well as Rudolph Days. But, back to JOL Days... I am trying to decide how I want to celebrate. Certainly my Halloween music playlist will play a role. But beyond that do should I pick a movie, or show, both? Decorations are not something I will do, but perhaps a Fall scented candle just for the day? So many decisions...

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Saturday Morning! Today is the last day of the big freeze that we have been under for the past four days or so. Tomorrow it finally warms up and it stays warm for about 10 days. I think of it as "cheating" through what is left of January. Everyone will be happy if it really gets to 65 degrees next Friday like what they are saying.

Next Sunday will be my first Dark Arts Sunday of 2024. I am so excited for that but before I can do that, I have to celebrate Tom Turkey Day and Rudolph Day. I am so glad to be where we are in January. I always feel like the first batch of special days are really the most special, no pun intended. It kind of steels my nerves and gets me ready / accepting of the long journey back, that is punctuated with feels and happy stops like the MMC Special Days each month.

We are just taking it nice and easy here in January and trying to enjoy the month as much as we can. Have a great Saturday, Halloween Friends!

There is a lot to celebrate in the coming week and I need to make a plan but for right not I am happy that the first 19 days have moved right along and that after tomorrow the temps will be in the 30s for the rest of the month, that will be a nice change and much appreciated. I need to get a couple of craft supplies for next Sunday so I can make my first two Milk Jug crafts for Halloween.

Good evening Halloween fans

Just a relaxing evening watching football. Think I am going to visit my Halloween spotify playlist and see if there is anything I need to add. I am sure I missed something, I only have 132 songs on it. I know there are plenty of alternate versions of songs I don't have on there.

I am excited to see them. I am going to have my son start saving milk jugs because I definitely want to make some.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Sunday! Another cold one out there right now, but we get above freezing today, and have a very mild next 10 - 12 days. I almost don't want to get too excited when we start off February and it is still mild, because everyone knows that you can't really start getting excited about Spring until that latter part of February, there's just too much of a chance of bad weather until then.

On the Halloween front, TOMORROW will mark only 100 DAYS until Halfway to Halloween, better known in these parts as "Halfoween". Our next milestone after that will be on Friday the 26th, the nice and round 250 DAYS TO OCTOBER. Wow.

We have the MMC Special Days all arriving this week - Tom Turkey Day and Rudolph Day sharing the same day. Next week this time is Dark Arts Sunday, and we close out the last week of January with Jack O Lantern Day #1. Like Good Ole JR would say, "Business is about to pick up". Have a great Sunday, Halloween Friends! Stay warm!

We are going to get above freezing tomorrow and will have 4 days of rain, but next weekend is going to be 37 and sunny both days-- I can't wait. With so many Special Days I think the end of the week/weekend will have a HallowThanksMas feel to it!

Evening Halloween Fans! Another very cold day here. The wind made it worse but it should start to die down. And the warming week is coming. I'm looking forward to it very much like a piece of Halloween candy. Happy Halloween!

Why not a movie? Having a Halloween movie is a staple of my JOL Day celebrations. Especially when it is ones that you only watch / see on TV during Halloween season. That's what I do. Really puts me in the Feels!

100 Days to Halfoween.png

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Milestone Monday!

Today marks only 100 DAYS until Halfoween! It's almost sort of creeping up on us.

Today begins our stretch of nice weather for 10 to 12 days. My gutters were frozen solid from two back to back snow and ice storms, and I was really worried about them. But they were fine, and still attached well. Yesterday during the warm up, three out of four of the gutters are now opened up and draining water again. I'm sure the last one will open up today.

Our very next milestone day will be on Thursday, when we reach only 250 DAYS TO OCTOBER. Wow.

I hope everyone has a great Monday! We are marching through the dreaded final part of January! MMC Special Days are our reward this week and coming up SOON! Have a great day!

Halfoween is on the way! And the return of Dark Arts Sundays this week...perfect timing considering that all of the NFL teams that I care about have been eliminated from the playoffs. Except maybe the Lions, I guess I could cheer for them. But anyway... I'm glad that "business is about to pick up."

I am looking forward to Halfoween and I am excited that there is a full month between Easter and Halfoween, so maybe a real Halfoween Egg Hunt! Last year it was a little too close together and I didn't want to infringe on the Easter Bunny!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! We move on in the last full week of January and now we advance through Tuesday. It's no secret that I don't like Tuesdays. They just sort of feel awkward at times. Nobody likes Monday, but Tuesday might be Monday's cousin. I like the week from Wednesday - on. But you can't get there without going through a Tuesday.

Looking at our counts above, we now have another count who has joined double-digits company, and that's our DAYS TO HALFOWEEN count. Our next milestone will be on Thursday, which is a pretty special day, not only will it be 250 DAYS TO OCTOBER, but it is also Rudolph Day, and Tom Turkey Day at the same time. Certainly a HallowThanksMas vibe.

We're warming up to 50 degrees today. Almost all of the ice is gone. I was so
relieved that my gutters all thawed out. It was calling for rain towards the end of the week and I didn't want anything running over!

Have a great day, friends!
