Halloween 2024 Countdown!

Yeah, they tend to sprinkle them in throughout the year. They do the same with other "old" movies. I've seen several like Jaws and Sixteen Candles.
I just finished my Werther's Pumpkin Spice yesterday. I also have a Pumpkin Pop-Tart package I'm saving until Halfoween. Does that count? Plus those things have so many preservatives I'm confident I could be eating it three Halfoweens from now.Evening Halloween Fans! I hope everyone had a good Monday. Good Morning Halloween Friends! Monday is just a memory now and we move into Tuesday. The midway point of the month is Friday, but there's still plenty of March left. Sometimes I forget just how long March is. We've got nice weather now for the next 4 or 5 days. The start of Spooky Spring beckons us in under three weeks now. And Friday will be the big 200 DAYS TO OCTOBER milestone. There will be only one count remaining in the 200's after Friday. Spooky!

How can we get the rest of the world on the Halfoween train with us? I'd love to see Halloween candy, pumpkin Pop-Tarts, and many of the other Fall staples make brief appearances in April to celebrate halfway to Halloween. Heck, Spirit Halloween could even get in on the action and open for a limited run.
I remember both Shudder and AMC had halfway to Halloween programming in 2020. Maybe it was just because of the pandemic, but I always felt that there was untapped revenue for halfway to Halloween. Places like QVC do Christmas in July, I really wonder why there is no halfway to Halloween retail wise. I am sure that it’s because Halloween doesn’t make near as much money as Christmas for stores.
It’s probably too late this year, but i have always said that I was going to write to QVC and stores and suggest / see if there is any interest whatsoever in attempting a halfway to Halloween merchandise season.

You guys know how much I love Wednesday and I love the feeling of late Wednesday afternoons when you can almost feel the weekend starting to roll in. There's no other time during the week that feels like it, except for maybe Friday afternoon.
We're two days out now from our next milestone, and it's going to be a major one as we usher in 200 DAYS TO OCTOBER on Friday. It still sort of seems unfathomable that we begin a 100's count to October on Saturday. Holy cow.

I sound like a broken record, but I LOVE how Thursday afternoons feel so different, that you can feel the weekend rolling in and the vibes and energy on everything are so different. We chase our weekends 24/7 the same as we chase our beloved Holidays.
Friday will be extra special this week, as it is the arrival of the 200 DAYS TO OCTOBER milestone. I still can't quite wrap my head around the fact that beginning on Saturday, we will be down in the 100's on the way back to October. Just. Wow.
Now it's time for the Thursday Halloween Thought. Today's thought is about Full Moons.
Full Moons on Halloween night are a popular theme for movies and artwork, but did you know how rare Full Moons on Halloween actually are? According to The Old Farmer's Almanac, a full moon on Halloween night only happens once every 18 or 19 years! The last time a full moon happened on Halloween, it was in 2020. So we have a way to go until the next one! Until then, we can enjoy seeing it in Movies and shows. Who knows, a JOL Day might even get a full moon. Much better chances of that!

**MILESTONE DAY**
Happy Milestone Friday! Today we have reached 200 DAYS TO OCTOBER. When we wake up tomorrow, we will have only ONE more count that is in the 200's. Everything else is 100's and under! We started the new countdown thread last year on Halloween night, and our counts went up the next morning on November 1st, and we had THREE counts that started off in the 300's! And tomorrow, there will be none remaining! Take a minute and just wrap our heads around that fact. It's fun, but also kind of scary because it does feel, at least to me, like time is picking up another gear. Every countdown seems to just feel different when you get out of the 300's, but then upon exiting the 200's? It feels like it melts away. I'm really going to try and slow down time, if that is at all possible, this coming 'Bers because nobody wants time to melt away then.

I love reaching a big milestone like this one today. 200 days means that time is still moving forward, but there's still plenty of time to enjoy in between before we actually get there. If I'm being honest, my mind is already there, but my body is stuck here in March. Oh well, it'll catch up later.
