Halloween 2024 Countdown!

Change that to Sunday, September 29th. The earlier the better.
Mine went out the first weekend of September and it absolutely felt “right”
Yeah, Michelle wouldn't go for that.
I went ahead and ordered my annual sugar-free Halloween candies and cookies. I couldn't wait until October!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! On the other side of a milestone day now and staring at the weekend.
The official beginning of Halloween Season is in just 4 days! Last night I watched "Halloween Kills" on TV, it was so great seeing it on TV as I was flipping through the channels.
I'm slowly but surely seeing more houses decorated for Halloween, especially as I drive down through old town on the way to work in the mornings.
Saw a meme online yesterday that said "Hello Darkness my old friend, soon you'll start at 5pm", and I thought to myself that I can't WAIT!
The sun is setting at 7:25 here now, so we have lost an hour since late August. By the end of this month, it will set at 6:57! We're losing two minutes of daylight a day.

Happy Friday the 13th! While we are nearly at the "official" start of Halloween Season, I've been enjoying some Halloween films every night as it seems the networks are getting going a little bit early. One movie makes sense for this evening, and that's any of the "Friday the 13th"'s when we can check in on Jason and his wacky antics.
There's only ONE Friday the 13th next year, believe it or not, and it will be in June. In 2026 we get THREE of them. That's the most you can ever have! I hope all of you have a great Friday - the official start of Halloween Season is just 3 days away!

And if you want to complete the collection then head over to Microsoft movies where you can get the "Jason Slasher Collection" (Jason X, Jason Goes to Hell, and Freddy vs Jason) for $7.
The only one I find unwatchable is Jason Goes to Hell (your mileage may vary)
Freddy and X aren't great, but they are goofy enough to enjoy as good bad films.
Microsoft also has a bunch of other horror stuff on sale including the Elm Street collection for $20 (also includes Freddy vs. Jason).

Happy Friday the 13th! If you were to choose a special meal to celebrate all the Friday the 13ths, what do you think you would pick? I need to do more to commemorate them. Today I was craving a big baked potato with cheese, bacon, and sour cream but that seems like an odd pick but maybe I could change up the fixings?
In my opinion, there is never a bad time to have a loaded baked potato! I am not sure what I would consider Friday the 13th food. I think I will do some thinking on that!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Another weekend in THE BERS is here! It was awesome having Friday the 13th yesterday and seeing Jason on TV again. I was lucky to find him on streaming - I'm going to have to fire up the old PS4 next year so that I can watch a lot of the Jasons and Freddys on the Blue Rays I have.
You can see from our counts above that Halloween Season "officially" kicks off in two more days. And then on our main counts we will be down to just Three! Sometimes looking at these counts reminds me of "And then there were none". We're slowly making our way through the counts. When all of the counts had returned by January of this year, I believe that we had 7 main counts. We're down to just four counts now, and we're going to lose another in two days. Just let that sink in for a minute.
