Good Morning, Happy Weekend People! It's the first full weekend of June and the SweatFest is underway. Right now though? We're getting a break from it because it cooled off last night as the rain moved in. The next few days don't reach 80 degrees, but then those 80's come roaring back beginning next Thursday. Crazy to think that just last week at this time, we actually ran the pellet stove overnight.
Double Nickels this morning on the way to Fall Pre-Season! The big 50 Day to Fall Preseason milestone is coming our way next Thursday, and we subsequently fall down into the 40's on that count next weekend! Scary!
Also happening next weekend? The 100 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON milestone. Beginning on Sunday of next week, there will be only TWO (!!!) counts left that are still above 100 days. That's crazy to think of when just last month we had FOUR.

Evening Halloween Fans! I hope you are all doing well. We have a rainy Saturday again. I really want this to stop lol. Rain any other of the 6 days of the week. Well I'm hoping this pattern changes this summer. Don't rain during October though. Put my order in. Happy Halloween!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! I had dreams last night of being back in Autumn. I'm actually going to try and recreate what I "saw" with AI this morning. It was beautiful. Gold leaves all over the ground and a gorgeous blue sky. I think I was dreaming of being back in the "Ginkgo Grove" here at Blandy Farm. That's on my to do list again this Fall, for sure.
We're closing in on some milestones now. The big one will be here Thursday, and that's the 50 DAYS TO FALL PRESEASON. There's just no words to describe that one.
Next Saturday will see 100 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON. Enjoy these counts now because they are going to be pretty skinny in about another month.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's Monday again unfortunately. I go back to work today after being off for the past 12 work days. I have no idea what to expect or if time will move fast or slow. I hope it moves on the faster side. Either way, everything will look better after Monday is in the rear view mirror, it always does.
We're three weeks away from JOL Day #5 now, and two big things are happening this week. #1, we hit the 50 DAYS TO FALL PRESEASON milestone on Thursday, and then on Friday, we reach/celebrate our ONLY Friday the 13th of this year. Next year has THREE! I noticed this year, too late, that I didn't include Friday the 13th on our main list of countdowns. I believe that I have in past years. I think when the "new" Thread goes up on Halloween night for 2026, I'm going to put them on the main countdown, at least put them out there a month before they happen, or maybe I list all three, along with everything else.

One of the most revealing moments of Halloween is when the Sounds of Christmas plays a month of Halloween music during October. It's an amazing playlist with various songs for everyone.
I think having all three Friday the 13ths in the countdown would be nice.

Me too! Always good to have more things to look forward to, especially something that is always on a Friday. Mid-week milestones sometimes get cheated depending on my workweek.

Good Morning Pumpkin People! The spooky sights and sound of Monday are behind us now and we march forward through the second week of June, heading to the HALF WAY point of the month this weekend!
Still a big milestone coming up two days from now - 50 Days to Fall Preseason is nothing to shake a stick at. Maybe one of the biggest milestones of the entire countdown year. This Saturday will mark 100 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON, and after that, there will be only TWO countdowns still above 100 days, those being the Days to October, and Days to Halloween counts.
When I think back to November 1st last year, it was the first day that the "new" Halloween thread for this year had full countdowns posted. And we had 7 counts - 3 of which were well above 300 days. The smallest count we had back then was the count to JOL Day #1, which was still over 90 days away from that point. Now we are on the verge of beginning Summer, there are no 300 level counts, not even anymore 200 level counts. In less than a week there will be only TWO 100 level counts. That's really incredible if you think about it. We're almost at the point in the countdown now that we start losing counts. But we're not there yet. We have a bit more time to deal with the SweatFest.

We talk about major milestones through the years, but 50 Days to Fall preseason has to be up there. June won't even be fully over with when that count gets down in the 30's. Holy cow!
