The weather here has been just gorgeous! We have one day over the next week that gets to 85 degrees, but after that it's back into the low to mid 70's. I think if we don't have some kind of mini-heatwave or something to that effect pop up over the next two weeks, Fall weather is here to stay for a while!

I started hauling wood pellets again over the weekend, Home Depot FINALLY has them out now, and it felt downright like Fall when I left with the windows down and it was 50 degrees outside. I predict that we will burn the stove for the first time this season within the next 60 days! I'm further ahead now than I usually am - I have 31 bags to start off, and hauling 5 or 10 bags every weekend I will reach my goal of two full tons before "cold weather" is here. Anything I can still get in the stores once I am over my two tons, is just extra assurance, and peace of mind. There will come a time unfortunately when it will be cold as you-know-what outside, and there won't be a pellet bag to be found at any of the stores.

Have a great day!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 85
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 59

Happy September Mid-Week! Today folks we move along and see that we have 85 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 59 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our next milestone 9 days away. And it will be the Final Fifty till November. It’s Wednesday folks so time for our Weekly Wednesday Poll below (the first one of The Bers)!

Which of the following Bers months do you think most of Thanksgiving?

September
October
December
I only think about Thanksgiving during November

his is going to be A for me. I think when September starts, I feel the road to Thanksgiving begins. And on that road is the best season of Autumn and Halloween Season. That’s just my view. October I’m too busy thinking about Halloween/Autumn and December I’m too busy thinking about Christmas Season. What about you? Have a great September Mid-Week!

It's either A or B, but I'm not sure if I've ever noticed which month I think about it the most. Maybe B, since it's closer to Thanksgiving.

Edit: After reading the answers again, it's D for sure. I think about Thanksgiving most of November.

The Labor Day holiday messed with my sense of time, and I didn’t realize today was Wednesday until I saw the poll here today!

I think about Thanksgiving during every month of the Bers (yes, even December), but during which one do I think about it the MOST? That works have to be D, November. September and October are mostly Halloween thoughts for me, and December is 99% Christmas thoughts.

I was trying to figure out what day of the week it was!

It is A for me, October kicks in a lot of Halloween and Harvest thoughts but right now I am back to daydreaming about the weekend before Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving, and Thanksgiving week!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 84
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 58

Happy Football Season! Today folks we move along and see that we have 84 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 58 days left until November. We move along in our Awesome Autumn (even though we are officially still in summer) with our next milestone arriving in a week and a day. It will be the Final Fifty till November. That’s going to be another big one. It’s Thursday folks so time for our Thanksgiving Thought Thursday below!

Now that we’re in The Bers you can dream. You can dream of turkey, stuffing and gravy. Of course, if you’re an Autumn and Halloween fan like I am you want that dream to stay a dream for as long as possible. The road to Thanksgiving really has begun now. I always talk about those weeks from the week after Labor Day till the Week Before Thanksgiving. But these days during this Labor Day week it feels like a build right to that road.

I hope everyone is doing well here in the first week of September. I have to say it feels so awesome to be where we are. Truly September is a Sweet Spot of the year. The weather continues to be amazing here. Have a great Football Season!

Happy Thursday everybody! It's impossible to have a Thursday at any point in the year and NOT think of Thanksgiving. Especially on Tom Turkey Day.

I hope everybody is enjoying these very early days of The Bers!

I am dreaming of Thanksgiving. I am dreaming that my A1C level will be perfect when I go back to the doctor at the end of this month, and she will allow me to start reincorporating some carbs back into my diet, and I will be able to enjoy mac and cheese by the time Thanksgiving gets here. That is my dream. And all of the other Thanksgiving stuff too.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 83
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 57

Happy September TGIF! Today folks we move along and see that we have 83 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 57 days left until November. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our next milestone set to arrive 1 week from today with the Final Fifty till November. It’s Friday folks so time for our Fun Fact Friday below!

Question: How much did the world's largest pumpkin pie weigh?

Answer: 3,699 pounds

According to the
Guinness Book of World Records, the pie, made by New Bremen Giant Pumpkin Growers in Ohio on September 25, 2010, weighed almost 3,700 pounds and was 20 feet in diameter. It was made with 197 cans of pumpkin, over 200 dozen eggs, 100 gallons of evaporated milk, 525 pounds of sugar, three pounds of pumpkin pie spice, seven pounds of salt and 12.4 pounds of cinnamon.

Wow can you imagine that pumpkin pie? I’d be more for an apple pie that size but that sure sounds crazy big and tasty. I guess you need a big appetite to want to eat that. Maybe there’s enough to share…with your whole town. Have a great September TGIF!

I love pumpkin pie. I could probably do it if you gave me a gallon of milk to drink it down with. You know, like one of those places where if you can eat the whole giant steak, it's free? Maybe we need to make one of those places that serves Pumpkin pie??
