DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 92
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 66
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 5

Happy Latter August! Today folks we move along and see that we have 92 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 66 days left until November and 5 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with our next milestone arriving on Thursday (which is tomorrow) with Tom Turkey Day #9. It’s Wednesday folks and it’s time for our Final Poll of the Non-Bers this year!

What would best describe the ratio of your favorite things that happen for the year during The Bers?
  • 100% of my favorite stuff of the year happens during The Bers.
  • 90% of my favorite stuff of the year happens during The Bers.
  • 75% of my favorite stuff of the year happens during The Bers.
  • Less than 75% of my favorite stuff of the year happens during The Bers.
  • I’m going with B. I know some will say why not pick A. But although The Bers heavily weighs my favorite stuff there is still a lot of things that I enjoy in the Non-Bers. It’s amazing to even say 90% of your favorite stuff happens 33% of the year. Gobble Gobble my turkey friends on this Wednesday. Have a great Latter August!

I think I can go with "B" too. There's a few things that happen, not many, in the Non-Bers year that I really enjoy. But the meat and potatoes of the good stuff all happen in the next 4 months! And we're almost there!

C for me! In addition to the holidays, there are some birthdays during the Ber months and the October vacation my wife and I take in northern Michigan. But there’s too much stuff outside the Bers, including Easter, Independence Day, and a lot of other birthdays. Plus we spend a lot of time in the warm season at our place up north.

I know only one other person has voted C so far, but it is C for me. As much as I truly love the Bers part of the year, I can't discount Valentine's Day, St. Patty's Day, Easter, the 4th of July, Memorial Day, vacations, family birthdays and anniversaries that are outside of the Bers.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 91
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 65
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 4

Happy Alright August! Today folks we move along and see that we have 91 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 65 days left until November and 4 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest on a Milestone Day as Tom Turkey Day #9 is here. Gobble Gobble. Our next milestone will be the biggest milestone we’ve had by far and maybe we will have by far. It will be on Monday when we arrive at The Bers. At that point we will only have 2 counts out of 3 remaining. It’s Thursday friends so let’s do our usual Thanksgiving Thought Thursday below!

When we talk about the Road to Thanksgiving I always feel like it starts on Labor Day. Not September 1. Not after Labor Day but on Labor Day itself. But I also talk about those 10 (this year 11) weeks between the week after Labor Day up until Thanksgiving Week. That is hardcore autumn to me. I love those weeks more than the holiday season possibly. I am so looking forward to “The Road” beginning again!

We are all in a special spot right now folks. You know it. I know it. There is no more denying it. I say just enjoy it. And get ready for the impending Bers Season. Have a great Alright August!

I never thought about there being TWO roads, but by golly, Edge, you are right. The Road to the Bers opens on (or around) Memorial Day, so it only makes sense that The Road to Thanksgiving starts on Labor Day. I’m glad that we have two roads to look forward to now each year!

That is really a good point.

Each holiday seems to have it's own road, preseason, and it's actual season.

We know the Bers preseason starts in August, but Spooky Season's preseason is September 1st to me and the road to it would probably be July 5th in my books.

The road to Thanksgiving on Labor Day fits perfect. Unfortunately Thanksgiving may get overshadowed with a preseason because of it getting smashed between Halloween and Christmas.

I do really enjoy the road, preseason, and season for Bers, Halloween, and Christmas. It adds to the buildup and excitement.
