Thanksgiving 2025 Thread

Do you know what I do next weekend?

As crazy as it seems, I will make our Thanksgiving menu next weekend. Write out all of the ingredients....etc. I actually start buying the nonperishable items soon thereafter. As crazy as it seems, that holiday can bust a family budget quicker than you can blink...especially when you like to do other things holiday related.

I'm so excited about it.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 94
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 68
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 7

Happy Final Week Of August! Today folks we move along and see that our counts show 94 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 68 days left until November and 7 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with our next milestone set to arrive on Thursday. It will be Tom Turkey Day #9. It’s Monday folks so time for our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving Week. It stands at a very special 13 weeks. We begin the 4th quarter today folks until Thanksgiving Week. Is that hard to believe? The most exciting quarter of the year too considers the majority of The Bers and most of the fall season. Turkey friends I hope that you are enjoying your Monday today. I also hope that your weekend went well. It’s a very special time of year. Some of you may say oh I’m just waiting for next weekend and/or next Monday to be officially in The Bers. I’m not. I’m starting my Bers now. I was saying yesterday to someone it’s weird how this year you wake up on Labor Day and it’s The Bers. Normally you ease into The Bers the week before/or weekend before it. Not this year though. I want to get a running start into The Bers. I was totally feeling it last week and I hope to carry that momentum further into this week. Have a great Final Week Of August!​

DAYS TILL THE BERS: 6

Happy Terrific Tuesday! Today folks we move along and see that we have 93 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 67 days left until November, and 6 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with our next milestone arriving on Thursday. It will be Tom Turkey Day #9. What a big one and I think Rich will do a special Turkey Dance for us on Tom Turkey Day. That’s at least the rumor that I heard this week. Turkey friends it’s Tuesday which means it is time for our Picture Day. Please share all those pictures of Fall/Thanksgiving. And believe it or not we’re not too far away from The Bers now. It’s getting closer. We’re in the single digits. And when The Bers arrive we’ll start to see more signs of the upcoming Autumn Season. A lot of Halloween stuff is out here in my area at the stores. It’s an exciting time of year to see all of them. Turkey friends enjoy your Tuesday and the best to you as you embark into a new day in the month of August. We need a good poll for tomorrow, but we’ll think about it about the upcoming Bers Season. The feeling in the air this week is very special to us. Most people outside of MMC may not think that way but we all know what The Bers brings. It brings the best. Have a great Terrific Tuesday!​

If you saw me dance, you would lose your appetite for Thanksgiving. LOL.

The Holiday Creep. Just felt appropriate for today! I think I see a turkey inflatable up there on the top shelf! When I go back to Lowes this weekend, I'm sure I'll get to see "The Big 3" in action!
