Well yesterday I spent the day getting my mom packed and then taking her to the airport to go see my sister in seattle. Then I went with my neighor to the local horse track to watch the preakness. I bet the winner and made enough money to pay for the gas to the track. Today is going to be spent cleaning house and doing laundry. I might try to watch the final round of qualifying for the Indy 500. Hope everyone has a great day!!!!!cheesy

Yesterday was a busy day for us as our duaghter was in our town's memorial day parade with her softball team and then my hubby helped his stsre move and then we went to the mall so he could be measured for his tux for his sister's wedding.
Today is being spent at home...laundry....make a btach of choc chip cookies and making a nice chicken dinner. Has been overcast and very chilly out today but I am enjoying the cooler temps. Reminds me of fall!!! LOL!

Now, that's funny!!!
I just returned from the California-Hawaii Elks Convention where we raised $2,947,853.36, just short of our goal of $3 million. This is my favorite project which helps children with cerebral palsy and other crippling diseases. What a wonderful feeling to be able to do something collectively which will do so much good. Now it's back to work tomorrow.

This is where my heart is. My daughter had a stroke at age 22 while she was in labor. As a result, my granddaughter has pronounced cerebral palsy (it is really called "highly involved"). Now you know "the rest of the story."

Good morning my friends! A very early morning for me. Usually, I get up anywhere from 5:15 to 6:00, but for whatever reason my eyes popped open at 3:00 a.m. Wow! Weather is supposed to be good today, with sunshine aplenty and temps. around 80. Gonna be a great day!

How I wish that were true for Northern California! Maybe I should move to Narnia! But then, it would NEVER get to be Christmas; however, the anticipation would be wonderful!

No frost down here but it is unusually chilly for May 18 at 54 degrees here in Raleigh.
Bright and sunny though, and no rain in the forseeable forecast.
(We've had plenty of the wet stuff recently, thank you!)
