Thanksgiving 2026 Thread

Hey everyone - in faster than expected news, we got our test results back this morning at 9:30 AM:


***NO CANCER!!!!!!!!**
So all we have to do now is wait six months, Holly has agreed to have the entire ovary removed, she wanted to get Jason weaned off the milk, so it will be easier for us when we go to the hospital and whoever is providing childcare for us this summer.
Holly's doctor believes she is stable and that we have no risk waiting until the summer. Obviously if Holly gets pain or something, she will go to the ER and they will do it then.

It's the best update I could get, I got to my knees and thanked God above because when they mentioned the C-word yesterday, I felt like my whole world shut down. Thank you to everybody who asked me and reached out.

What a relief! I will continue to pray that everything keeps going well and to plan. I firmly believe that 2026 is not going to let you down, you've got this!!!

Happy Saturday all!! Well my '26 bid for a Golden Driller is over with. I come up 1 spot short of transfering to the Main tonite. Because I run winged 410 Sprints I dont dump tons of money into my midget engines..it bit me..lol Maybe next year?!..hmm

Happy Snowy Sunday! Today folks we move along and see that we have 312 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 287 days left until November and 226 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Winter Wonderland with our next milestone arriving on Thursday. It will be Tom Turkey Day #2. In honor of that day, there is a rumor Rich will dress up as a turkey and dance for us. I’m not one to start or spread rumors (ok maybe a little). It’s Sunday folks so time for the 2nd half of our Quiet Weekend Period. And you know what? The snow this weekend has forced me to have an even quieter weekend than I expected, and I have to say it’s joyful in a way. The one thing I love about snow/winter is when you get a storm or 2 it makes people stay home. No other time of year does weather really force people home (short of a freak hurricane which we rarely ever get in my area). But rainstorms, thunder, hot weather, chilly weather don’t stop people from going out and about. The snow does. Turkey friends the best to you on this Sunday. I hope you are all doing well and making the most of your weekend so far. I wish you all the best here on the 2nd half of your weekend and hope you get the most out of it that you can. I am enjoying the quieter weekend and it is the first full weekend when I had nothing planned and the windchills are making me grateful to be in and relaxing.

I got a good chuckle from the rumor, mostly because I think we would all love to have turkey costume!!!

I like today’s YouTube post because when you see a fireplace you instantly think of Christmas but it’s nice to see this setup for Thanksgiving. And really when you think about a fireplace you think of it starting around Thanksgiving as the late autumn hits and winter is coming soon. Those colors though are just amazing. Right now, everything is in winter colors outside with snow out there all over. Lots of white. You see some Valentine’s Day colors of red in the stores and you’ll see even Easter colors soon as the stores always are looking farther ahead than we are. In this thread we enjoy taking our day by day one step at a time. The best to you my turkey friends on this Monday. I hope your week gets off to a great start. Have a great MLK Day!​

I love this you tube channel. I have watched lots of their videos, especially Halloween and Christmas-themed ones. It makes me think of the ambient mixer but if it had visuals.

Happy Winter Doldrums! Today folks we move along and see that we have 310 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 285 days left until November and 224 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Winter Wonderland with our next milestone arriving the day after tomorrow. It will be Tom Turkey Day #2. It’s going to be a big one. We move along into Tuesday with today being Picture Day. You know what that means right? Send us all your pictures of Autumn and Thanksgiving today and fill up the thread nicely. We are all looking for these signs of the best time(s) of year on Tuesdays and right now with the winter cold and snow out there we could use some signs like that. Those trees were the leaves on them and turning colors instead of being snowed on. Although it does make for a nice picture and view from inside my window. Turkey friends I hope you are doing well as we move along into this 2nd day of the week. I wish you well and hope that your week has got off to a great start on Monday. And I hope it gets even better on Tuesday, my friends. We are in full winter mode now with lots going on. Happy Tuesday!! Wonder if coming back to work with Monday already over makes this week go by a little faster?

Not gonna lie, I am starting to feel the "longness" of January. I haven't quite hit that winter doldrum / slog phase yet, but I can feel it trying to get a grip on me. Calling for a big snow event this weekend so that is going to make Rudolph Day #1 about as close to the real thing as possible. And by the time that is done, we are also going to be finally looking at February poking out at us next week. Let's gooooo!

I LOVE the fact that this week is Tom Turkey Day, I really need my fix after everything that happened last year! Have a great day!
