Most of my grass in the backyard is literally underwater right now. The backyard is flooded and my pool has WAY too much water. If it stopped raining today, right now, it would take a solid week before I could even consider mowing my back yard.My grass is growing much more slowly now. I think the heat is choking it out. It’s not looking so great, either. I’m starting to get some brown patches in the front yard. The only upside is that I’m able to mow every two weeks now instead of every week.
This happens every year, though, and all it tells me is that we’re nearing the end of summer. I’ll progressively have to mow less and less through September and only minimally in October before finally being able to retire the mower until next Spring.
