Good Morning Halloween Friends! Spooky Sunday to you all. It's Spooky here - dark outside and rainy, and we're supposed to get over an inch of rain today. I put the F250 in the garage early this morning so I can work while it's raining, and it unmistakably felt like fall with the cool breeze and beautiful red sky as the sun was coming up this morning.

Folks, THE BERS are barely over two weeks away. I can't believe that I'm writing that. JOL Day this month will almost be like walking through a portal. I'm getting the jitters just thinking about it. I figure at this point, they are doing the final preparations on the Hogwarts Express, and shining it up like a new penny.

We have a beautiful week coming up too, no day is warmer than 84 degrees, and many more chances of rain coming. It looks like we might even slide into September with this cooler weather. My Dad thinks Fall / Winter might come early, because of all the "Super El Nino" talk. We'll see.

I hope everyone has a GREAT day today!

Hello Halloween Fans!

Another rainy and stormy day here in Ohio. The rain and storms have just been so consistent recently. Yesterday we had a little sunshine, but it is currently raining and raining hard. It is not a cool rain either. It is hot and VERY muggy outside. Oh well, I know that the temperatures are going to be moving in a cooler direction in the not to distant future.

We have not done any more decorating yet, but we did get to go to a Spirit Halloween store and Menards. I picked up some additional lights for the bushes at Menards and we picked up a few other small indoor decorations.

I am slowly (or not so slowly) moving towards watching a lot of Halloween stuff. We watched the Nightmare on Elm St remake; Henry had not seen it. I have been watching a few episodes of the Addams Family.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! The spooky update this morning is that we are now only TWO WEEKS from JOL Day # 7, and by proxy, THE BERS.

We will start the final 30 day countdown to the official beginning of Spooky Season on Sunday! And also on Sunday? Our October count enters the 30's! Spooky times indeed.

It dumped rain on us yesterday, we got almost an inch. It looks like the only truly "dry" day we are going to have this week will be on Tuesday. That will have to be the day I mow behind my fence in the back yard. Mercifully I got the back yard mowed on Saturday, and the front yard doesn't look like a jungle, YET.

Halloween friends I hope you are well! Have a great day!

My grass is growing much more slowly now. I think the heat is choking it out. It’s not looking so great, either. I’m starting to get some brown patches in the front yard. The only upside is that I’m able to mow every two weeks now instead of every week.

This happens every year, though, and all it tells me is that we’re nearing the end of summer. I’ll progressively have to mow less and less through September and only minimally in October before finally being able to retire the mower until next Spring.

Good morning Halloween Fans!

Another rainy and humid day. It rained first thing this morning and then just started again. Right now it is an total downpour.

I watched Clue last night, which is often the movie I really start the season off with. I absolutely love that movie and will likely watch it at least one more time during the season.

Most of my grass in the backyard is literally underwater right now. The backyard is flooded and my pool has WAY too much water. If it stopped raining today, right now, it would take a solid week before I could even consider mowing my back yard.

Hello Halloween Fans! I hope you are doing well. I've begun my first ever Bers Preseason. It just feels right to me to kind of get myself in that mindset to be in The Bers before they actually get here. A lot of football talk on the radio this morning to put me in the mood. Happy Halloween!

Even though my grass is still very green, it has slowed in its growth as well.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Nobody needs reminded that today marks only TWO WEEKS until THE BERS, but I'm going to go ahead and remind you anyway :)

We had heavy storms yesterday evening and I can't believe how green the grass is. I'm honestly reminded of October anymore now with these cool mornings.

We're in our cool stretch of August right now, no day gets hotter than 84 now for the rest of the week, and it looks like we might even slide into September with mild and cooler weather. I'm hoping!

Have a great day Pumpkin friends, OUR TIME draws closer!

I wish it was in the low 60s here…

Ouch!
That is usually where we are this time of year. It looks like we are going to be below normal for the next couple of weeks. While that is great, I am sure summer will make a comeback in mid-September and give us some August temperatures before finally starting to turn cool.

Been lucky here most of the summer. Many mornings have been really nice and only a handful of days have been really hot.

Try to stay cool!
