Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy JOL Day to you all!
Tonight's JOL Day is my annual rewatch of Halloween 4. I think out of any movie I've ever watched that is set during fall / halloween, the opening credits of H4 do the best job of transporting you there mentally. I watch the credits several times a year just when I need Halloween feels.
Obviously we are less than 24 hours out now from THE BERS returning. I thought this morning that I would have a lot more to say. Everyone who has contributed to the Bers Special Post Series have pretty much taken the words out of my mouth. If I think of more to say, I might pop back in here tonight when JOL Day is winding down. It's still almost an overwhelming feeling right now knowing what we are standing on the doorstep of and everything that is coming our way over the next 4 months.

October lies just 30 days ahead. I have reached the point in all of the countdowns where I am no longer trying to speed anything along. Because I want these next 4 months to go by nice and slow. When we hit December 26th - December 31st, I'll start cutting the brakes again.

Unbelievable! It was a long road, and yet it also flew by pretty quickly. "The days are long, etc..." Now I just need the weather to cooperate. 90 ain't gonna cut it! But that will soon be a distant memory when I'm sitting at my bonfire in the not too distant future. This morning I kicked it off with a "Pumpkin Carving" candle, Great Pumpkin soundtrack on vinyl and a cup of coffee with freshly opened pumpkin cinnamon creamer. Happy 'Bers day everyone!
Hello Halloween Fans! Normally I would say I hope you are doing well but it's hard not to be doing well on September 1st. The freshness of The Bers beginning. Being in the Sweet Spot of the year. It's amazing. Even the rain we have outside can't dampen my spirits. Happy Halloween!

Hello Halloween Fans!
We made it to the 'Bers! Though it currently feels like the hottest part of summer. I am super excited about being in the 'Bers, and getting everything Halloween moving now.
We have been watching a handful of Halloween movies here and there. We watched Halloween 4 just the day, and I agree with the statement before that the opening of the movie really sets the mood.
Last night I watched the Jack Palance Dracula movie.
This coming Sunday we will begin the Halloween decorating for real! I am hoping to get most of the inside stuff up and the lights on the bushes.
Overall, there is just something so special about the start of the 'Bers!

Seeing it dip below 60 days has really confirmed that with The Bers underway now, we are on a collision course for Halloween. When I started this thread on Halloween night in 2025, that count was pretty "safe", and even in chasing the milestones and special days, I have felt like it was well out ahead of us.
Seeing these counts this morning make it even more obvious that we need to make the most of each day, Bers or not.
