Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Tuesday! I have a feeling that the "short week" is going to move us along. But I'm not wishing it away. We talk a lot about getting the most out of each day. It's especially important now that we are in The Bers.

You can see on the counts above that it's just TWO WEEKS now until Spooky Season. Our next milestone in this this thread will be on FRIDAY when we reach 50 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN. Folks, that will be the very final major milestone in this thread! It's a little bit sad to even write that, I love counting down and I love celebrating milestone days. But obviously when we count down 24/7, 365 days a year, eventually we do reach the thing(s) that we are counting towards lol.

I was exhausted last night and didn't get to post my "final" summer reflection post like I wanted to. In simple, Summer is never going to be one of my favorite seasons. But since having my two children, I have tried to enjoy the "little things" of summer since I see them have so much fun. Visits to the park, playing in the water, swimming in the river, etc., all of those things were more fun to me than in past years. And I think I have learned when I can enjoy the little things, everything is much more enjoyable. Happy that Summer is over and obviously my focus is 100% now on Fall, as it has been for the past two months lol. Have a great day!

Hello Halloween Fans! I hope you are doing well. Back to work. Back to school. Back to football (tomorrow). Lots of backs this week. And we're definitely out of summer or at least most of us agree it's not summer anymore (but 80 and sunny today sounds nice). Happy Halloween!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Hump Day! It's "already" the middle of the week.

Checking on the countdowns this morning, we're under TWO WEEKS to go until Spooky Season, exactly THREE WEEKS today until the FINAL JOL DAY of 2026, and our final milestone in this thread will be 50 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN, that we reach on Friday.

I hope everyone has a great day! Almost time for weekend vibes to start rolling in!

Hello Halloween Fans! I hope you are doing well. The bad thing about the holiday Monday is we lost a day in what is the overflow from last week's busiest week. Usually this is the week I get a lot of stuff I need to do but losing Monday hurt. Now I'm watching a Nintendo Direct. Happy Halloween!

I caught bits and pieces of it. There were a couple of Halloween-adjacent games in there.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Standing on the doorstep now to our very final major milestone in this thread for 2026. Incredible to just be able to write that.

It felt like Fall last night with Football finally back on TV, and this evening is going to be more of the same. Sometimes during Tom Turkey Days, I play old football games in the background. There are a lot of "feels" associated with that, but obviously nothing like the real thing. That's what makes this time of year so special.

Halloween Friends, I hope you are well today. Today is likely my final day with my 14.5 year old dog, Kee Kee. I have the full write up over in the main Christmas thread. I reached out to the 'Bros last night to keep them in the loop. This is always the hardest part of owning a pet.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! TGIF!

It's the final 50 day milestone that we will ever have in this 2026 Halloween Thread. That feels kind of Spooky writing that.

It rained all night, we got close to a half an inch, and today is going to be cool and only reach a high of 78!

It's my hope that the "horrible hot" is done for the year, and the 10 day forecast looks like we stay in the mid to upper 70's for the next 10 days. It might just be a cool front, but either way it gets us closer to October where we can probably reliably count on cooler days and cool, borderline cold, nights.

I hope everyone has a great Friday!

Sorry to hear about your dog. Breaks my heart. Dog's lifespans are just not fair.

Tomorrow all of our counts in this thread will be under 50. Yikes! Let that sink in for just a moment. Actually…no, don’t let it sink in. Don’t even think about it. Just enjoy the spooky time that we have left because there isn’t much!

Hey, so I should have updated everyone in here, but I did post an update over in the main Christmas thread.

KeeKee is still with us. I think it is honestly a miracle because there actually IS a medicine that our Vet thinks will help her. She is still happy and eating and drinking, and I swear despite not even being on it 24 hours, the swelling is going down and her back leg looks almost back to normal. I don't know how much time I will get with her, whether it is another month or another year, but this is an opportunity I did not receive with Sophie since her cancer came on so fast and so hard, I didn't have days to spare to try an experimental medicine. She is teaching me now that every single "extra" day is a gift.
