We're going to Atlanta tomorrow evening for the Sean Hannity's Freedom Concert Tour. It's a concert created to raise money for families of fallen soldiers. Billy Ray Cyrus, Charlie Daniels Band, Lee Greenwood and Micheal W. Smith are performing. It should be great!

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

I hope you have a great time at the concert!!!! It is for a great cause and there are some great people performing there.

there where 4 tornadoes touch down in Ontario last evening. Durham was hardest hit. Two in the Toronto area and another north of Toronto. Amazingly only one death (a child who was out in the woods at the time of the storm near Durham) It went through so fast. Here where I live we had a thunderstorm with lots of lightening and rain. http://www.ctv.ca/servlet/ArticleNe...ntario_Tornado_090820/20090820?hub=TopStories
It is calm this morning, still overcast.

Prayers go out to the family of the little girl and all those who were effected.

Track- You can do it. Play the games and post all of your favorite recipes. You have plenty of time.

Wow! I had absolutely no idea this happened. I was at a team dinner all night and away from new sources. That is crazy! I guess it was pretty bad overnight here in Ottawa. Plenty of loud thunder and lightning yet I managed to sleep through it all. Good to hear that there was only one incident so far, but I feel horrible for the child's family.

Good morning, everyone!

84 more days. We're now closing in on the 70s and 2/3! Crown is right about the days flying by and getting closer to Christmas. It's fantastic! My team dinner last night went quite well. Had a few drinks with everyone and laughed at a bunch of stories. Good times. Only about four more hours of work until the weekend! It will definitely be real nice to stay home this weekend. No 24 bus trips! I have a bit of volunteering to do on Sunday, but the schedule is pretty bare otherwise. I like it like that.

Anyway, it's very humid here today. I woke up to the humidex being in the 80s, very muggy! Another thunderstorm is possibly on the way. It looks as if the storms from southern Ontario are pushing their way up to Ottawa. Nothing major though. Have a great Friday and celebrate the weekend well!

The plan today is to take mom to her first day of physical therapy. Then I will go by hobby lobby and see what new chrstmas stuff they have put out. Hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

back on....the house is done, kandice is bathed and playing with her cousin (not really her cousin....my godchild, she is my best friend´s daughter...so she calls me aunty, too...and I see her like my real niece)....they are loud but cute

Only 125 days to go

125 days till christmas

125 days till the big fat fellow comes down your chimney, to drink your beer and give you presents

only 125 to gooooooooo!

I am a bit excited!

That's a favorite activity of mine, too! I love Hobby Lobby!

we don't where I live here in Canada either. There have been the odd clearance item and Christmas in July, but that is all for now.
I did see Halloween items being stocked on the shelves in the $ store.

Morning again

been a long and busy week here, going to be a busy weekend too. I guess I will have to wait until Monday before we can head out to camp again.
Got some bread started in my brand new bread machine.
Gonna grab a cup of tea and relax here for a while.

Good Morning, Friends and welcome to another Wonderful Wacky Weekend!

Our count continues to advance:
Days to the Season: 83
Days to Christmas Day:125.
The 2/3 mark to Christmas Day arrives in only THREE days - less than half a week!
Wow!

A bit overcast here this morning with rain in the forecast.
Our temp stands just under 80 degrees at this hour.

Have a Stupendous Saturday, Everyone.
May the spirit of the Season travel with you today and always!

hello all!

it was my grandmother's 90th birthday yesterday and we had a party at her house to celebrate. there was lots of food and wine/beer and all the family were there, it was a lovely day and it reminded me how important family is and that no matter what is going on in the current climate health and family are all that matter.

now, i do admit i was a bit jealous of everyone being able to drink, i was desperate for an ice cold beer but never mind, i should be giving birth in the next couple of weeks and then it's champagne all the way for me!!!!

now is the time i get in real christmas mode, i am starting to get soooo excited and i bet we see this place get even busier over the next few weeks.

Well, I just had a nice, relaxing morning! It was a little chilly out, so I put on a comfy jacket and headed off to St. Louis Bread Co. (Panera to the rest of you) and sat outside with a latte and pumpkin muffie. It was soooo nice to just slip away from the real world.

The high today is MAYBE 76. Can you believe this? In August?!?!? I couldn't ask for anything better.

I'm going to a planning meeting today for my MOPS group. I'm excited to get the year going! Then this evening I am catering an event for a college baseball team. The party is at a pool. I'm taking bets right now on if those crazy college boys still swim, even though it will only be about 70 degrees and the water will be frigid! I think they will...what do you think?

Have a great Saturday everyone! See you tomorrow when we are yet another day closer to the most wonderful time of the year!

I'll probably have people jumping on me from a great height but you know what?? An ice cold beer, possible even 2 won't do you or the bump any harm at all. I'm not saying go out and get totally wasted but one beer isn't going to affect anything.

I'll admit to having a drink when pregnant - a glass of wine here and a beer there. I used common sense. There are so many people out there that go a full term pregnancy without even know they're expecting - Lord knows what THEY get up to! Smoking I think would have a more lasting effect on the child. When I worked as a candy-striper in a local hospital, one of the men on the ward I was assigned to (cardiac) was prescribed a bottle of stout every day - I had to go down to the hospital pharmacy every day to get him one!!!!!!

I can promise you, Bruce had no visible lasting effects from a bottle of beer when I was pregnant!!
