just gone 10.00 in the morning here the snow is almost gone but has been replaced with rain lots of rain, 2 new Christmas DvD's arrived in the post this week Christmas in Wonderland & the Preacher's wife wonder which will be the first Christmas movie of 2010 I watch. I don't count Christmas TV shows or Christmas Cartoons in this list.cheesy

I remember coming home from school as a youngster and discovering there was no furniture in our living room just the tuffet my dad won in a golf tournament.

I asked my mom if we were poor, she assured me they were waiting on delivery of our new furniture.

We hung out in the family room for two days before the new furniture arrived upstairs.

Oddly enough, we actually had a 40' colon on display in one of the Malls to raise awareness about colon cancer (Tues. and Wed. of last week.)

Temps. here have been mild the last week with a few chill days on the side.

Freezing rain was supposed to hit yesterday, but it's not bad, wound up with just light drizzle.

It's almost snowman building weather out there. :snowball

That display was in Kitchener back in April of last year. Kind of gross, but very interesting. I do not have to have another colonoscopy again for 5 years as my last one was clear!! yeah!!

Good Morning, Friends, Christmas Season Lovers and.....yes....even coffee fanatics!

At last a morning where we have not started out down in the 20's!
We currently stand at 35 and reached 63 yesterday. It is supposed to get to 58 by this afternoon before rain moves in for tonight and tomorrow.

Our start-of-the-weekend count:
Days to the Season: 301
Days to Christmas Day:343
As anyone (other than the most coffee-stupored of members) can tell, the 300-day Season window arrives tomorrow!! The first of many milestones to come on our fantastic journey back to the Christmas Season again.

Well, have a Sensational Saturday (I like the sound of "sensational" better than "stupendous" so I think I will adopt it as my Saturday superlative).

Christmas here pretty much starts in July. The shopping networks have their Christmas in July sales, and the Halmark stores put out the new ornaments. My wife will watch Christmas movies on July 25, and we will pretty much be in that mode until December 25th.cheesy

Good morning, friends. Hope this finds all doing great.

Haven't been here since Thursday. I had three very important coaches in my life. Had an ol' ballcoach of mine pass.....

All the years of advice he gave me, all the encouragement, all the kinds words he said to me....

all of those will be repaid today. His family asked me to deliver the eulogy. I pray I do him justice. Kinda nervous, kinda emotional...kinda hope you guys might drop me a little prayer for strength.

Got a speech to work on I'd be here all morning. But I will be back this afternoon. Got the coffee going yet Bing? Brad, didn't mean to get your appetite all worked up over the fried pickles...lol! Made, sorry don't feel well, and Christmasstar, glad your daughter is home for the weekend. Finally, Crown, gotta watch out for those coffee drinkers just laying around lapping up that coffee....that was funny!

Most cats will not go for that. O'Malley doesn't need to dress up to prove himself, he is perfect the way he is. cheesy

I have a cat that is so laid back. I call him a rag doll. We had taken him to a vet clinic for low cost vaccines. You had to line up with other pet owners of dogs and cats. One part of the line was a scale to weigh your pets before getting their shots. They put dogs on that scale and took cats to the back room for weighing because most cats freak with all the commotion and will try to run off. I told the vet tech that my cat will do just fine on the scale in line. She wasn't convinced but my cat Charlie just laid on the scale like a rag doll and she was amazed! My other cat tends to freak out on everything.

Hot and Spicy Food Day? I like that sounds of that. I'll take a look and see if I can spice up any of my food today. I love spicy food!

Good morning, everyone! I've decided to join you on a weekend. I'm usually away from my computer on weekends, but happily around now. It's quite warm in Ottawa. Around the freezing mark and the Canal is all slush and probably going to be closed after only being open for two days.

Well, only one more day until we reach our first milestone. Wow! I can't wait to come in tomorrow! Enjoy your weekend, you all deserve it!
