Playing hooky from work today to spend it with my wife. Tomorrow is her birthday and of course Valentines Day Sunday. Gonna take her out to eat if they get the roads clear. Got a lot of snow for Texas, don't know if they know how to handle that here. I think they broke a record for snow fall amounts in a 24 hour period for the DFW area. Some places were expecting up to 12 inches!

A dreary morning here today. Gray skies, windy, a little rain and small snowflakes now and again. The weather doesn't know what it wants to do...*L* D/D has her class Valentines Party today. She worked hard last night getting her classmates cards written out. There are 24 kids in her class this year. I'm sure they will all have a good time!

We stand at just under 32 here in Raleigh with no relief in sight.
Possible snow flurries today and Saturday.
Cloudy, too. (At least there's no wind)

Enjoy the snow. They're calling for another 1- 2" here today but I hear you are supposed to get more. Hopefully it will kill some of the fire ants.

Morning all! Made, watched the first race on DVR but haven't got to the second yet! It's amazing to see people race for 125 miles and someone win by 6 inches!

Off to work....got ballgames again tonight. But I will be here first thing in the morning to drink coffee and visit! See yall then!

I agree that it is amazing that they can race that far and still finish so close to each other. They were both really good races. cheesy

Well not much on the agenda for today. I had planned to watch nascar coverage but it looks like it is going to rain all day in florida. So now I guess I will spend some time cleaning the apartment and playing on the computer. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am hoping our record snowfall will finally kill the fleas here! My poor pets are still having issues with it. We sell flea products at our job and the customers are complaining about it as well.

Hello everyone!

It is snowing here in Alabama! It is coming down hard too. We are so excited. I don't want as much snow as some of you have got and are getting, though. I wish it had snowed around Christmas, but I will take it when I can get it. Luckily, schools were closed today anyway for Teachers' Professional Development Day. I was lucky and didn't have any meetings until 12:30. I was just scheduled to work in my classroom this morning. My principal called last night and said I didn't have to come in because the superintendent wanted everyone to go home at lunch due to the weather. She was the one presenting the afternoon professional development session, so she would just do her teachers' professional development during our next faculty meeting. It is so nice to have a principal that will work with her faculty and actually cares about her staff and students. I have had one that didn't and it was not fun.

IT'S SNOOOOOOOWING HERE IN ATLANTA!! And it is BEAUTIFUL!! I can't believe that it's supposed to snow in south Georgia and FLORIDA!! When was the last time THAT happened?! This is soooo exciting!!
