Hi all!

I MISSED THE PREMIERE!!! :( I can't believe it! It was storming reeeally terribly on Saturday and Jude and I spent the day with my dad so we planned to go with my hubby on Sunday... but our real estate agent said we could go into our new house (almost 2 weeks before we buy it!) and rip up the carpets if we wanted to! Of course, my husband couldn't resist getting a head-start on the project so we spent the whole day over there, ripping our carpets and painting. I just took staples out of the beautiful hardwood for HOURS... what a pain!!!! But there are beautiful 110 year old hardwood floors under that hideous blue, stained carpet, so that was great! And our little 2.5 year old was so well-behaved - he LOVES construction projects! (Good thing b/c we have so many coming up!)

Thanks for hte reminder about HSN's Christmas special on Wednesday! I am so excited now, although theirs it not nearly as good as QVC's.

Hope you are feeling better, Christmas-a-Holic. I've had a nasty cold for over a week now and I know how tough it is to be sick in the summer!

Hope you all have a lovely day! My grandmom and I are going to go out searching for vintage jars and vases for my sister's wedding.. she's doing a candy table (mmm!) and really wants it to look vintagey and unique. Should be fun! Maybe I can sample some candy along the way, hehe.
You can still go see the ornaments. They will still be on display. cheesy
I hope you are feeling better and all goes well with the house.

Good afternoon all!

Yesterday was a pretty relaxing day, went to Uno's for dinner and then went to Toys R Us after, got a ton of ideas for the boys for Christmas just have to wait for a sale to take advantage of better pricing. Tomorrow my sister is going home, and I have to drive her back to Boston for her flight. It was a very fast week. It is also the day for JP's (5 y/o) tonsillectomy, so I will be driving while the surgery is going on which sucks I wanted to be there for him but she has no other ride.
Well I hope everyone has a great Sunday!

I hope your son's surgery goes well!

I have this feeling I am going to forget all about watching this on Wednesday. I check on the countdown everyday so I hope you can post a reminder on Wednesday that it's on? :!!If you are able to, if not, no problem! cheesy

I already have my DVR set to record a few of the HSN shows that are coming on early on Wednesday and Im off work so I plan on having it on when Im home!!!!!

Its great to see you posting...we have missed ya! How is that adorable daughter of yours?

Just checking in everyone !!

The Hallmark Ornement premiere was great !! There only some slight problems. My sister and I went to the shop we usually go to and they were out of business !! We had to adjust and go to another, which I could not remember where there was one and my sister lives a little away from here so she didn't know either. Finally a lightbulb went on in my head and I remembered one !! We were there in 10 minutes flat. The ornaments this year are amazing. I got all the ones I wanted and there were none that were already gone !!!

I can't wait until the next premiere with more new ornaments in October. They have like 3 in a year, July, October and then Christmas Open House in November I think. Perhaps It is December. Anyway, I am hoping make the October one. There are just a few more ornaments to get !! I got my 10th year Snowball and Tuxedo ornament which I really, really wanted plus Rudolph and the Bumble !! Gosh !! I could go on and on.

A very nice time with my sister too. We laughed Hysterically because we were listening to a classic rock station when Grand Funk came on Singing "Locomotion." It is too cool when Mark Farner's guitar comes in and it is not ANYWHERE NEAR the same key he is singing in !! What a riot !! A true classic. Anyway, it was a fun day.

I hope everyone had a wonderful cooler weekend and that you will all have a great Sunday evening !!

:tree::rudolph:

Sounds like you had a wonderful time!

I know they will be, but I was just excited to go for the actual premiere weekend since I seem to miss it every year, lol! I guess it's my tradition - to miss it when I reeeeeally want to go, haha!

Monday morning again..ugh :-?. I am glad to be back to my normal work schdule of having off Wednesdays though. So for me 2 days of work 1 day off and then 2 more days of work before the weekend..which isnt too bad but I do miss my Boys! I hope this Monday work day goes by fast for everyone!

Good Morning everyone... I am on vacation with my family... Spent the day at Disney World yesterday. It was an awesome day and we all enjoyed ourselves... Today is a relax day and then the next couple days we will spend at the shops at Downtown Disney and visiting the Florida Aquarium before heading home Thursday.

Have a great day!

Sounds like you are having a great time, Minta.
We've been there, too. So much to see!

Good Morning, Friends.

Another week -- and the count goes on!
Days to the Season: 124
Days to Christmas Day: 166
Two days. Count 'em. Two days until the 2/3 Season Milestone arrives.
Then, barely over 3 weeks after that, we are down to DOUBLE DIGITS.
Wow!

Sunny here this AM with a slight breeze. Little chance of rain today but we could get tomorrow.
Currently, my thermometer reads just a tad under 80.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Everyone.
Just think about Christmas to jump-start your week!

That makes sense to me! The Hallmark we go to doesn't have anything special going on like playing Christmas music, etc. They just display the ornaments and that's it. Another Hallmark we went to had music playing during the premiere but it's closed down. Anyway, I had a slight fever on premiere day and had to go but got out of there quickly because I was feeling bad so I know what you mean by wanting to be there when it premieres! cheesy

Speaking of Disney World...

Disney World and Disneyland are my mom's favorite hangouts! She is almost 70 (you wouldn't know it, she is so young acting and looking!) and I think it brings back the kid in her. She use to live in Long Beach, California as a child and was actually part of the opening ceremonies at Disneyland. She sang in a choir for the opening day. While there she saw Groucho Marx and Brenda Lee. Her friends ran up to Groucho to get an autograph and he was being a "Groucho!" Lol, he told them not to bother him. He was trying to spend time with his family but at the time the kids didn't understand that. She still goes to either park when she gets a chance. She loves it!

Have fun there Minta!

My sister is a "Trekkie" too !!! She loves the original series as well as The Next Generation and forgive me as I don't know the name, Voyager maybe with Captain Janeway ?? !!!!
You got it! cheesy

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

Not much to report for the weekend. We just worked on getting everyting sorted out after the remodel. Yesterday morning I had to cook for our monthly men's breakfast at church. After the service later, my mom had a birthday dinner for me and my litte brother. His birthday is July 9 and mine is July 14. She made a German dish we all love called rouladen. It's wonderful with potato balls and red cabbage!

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

Great week to have XM or Sirus satellite radio. It is Christmas in July week on both. All the old shows on the Radio Classics station are Christmas episodes.

Good afternoon all!

I just got home from driving my sister and niece to Logan Airport in Boston, 3 1/2 hours of driving round trip. About 1/2 hour after I got home my son and wife got home from his surgery he is doing well face is a bit swollen but he is happy holding a kitten and watching Phineas & Ferb. He is starving and hasn't eaten a thing yet today, but he can't have any dairy for the first 24 hours, he doesn't understand why he can't eat real food and he really wants fried chicken. I feel bad for him, I just hopes this fixes his sleeping issues.

Have a good day everyone!
