Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

I had to cut out early yesterday. My mom had a busted water line UNDER THE DRIVEWAY yesterday afternoon. Luckily it was only about a foot and a half under the edge, so I could lay on my stomach and reach the break under the concrete. Whew!

Then my brother called to say he had a blowout on the highway and had no spare tire. I spent the rest of the evening shuttling him around, and helping him change the tire beside the busy road in the dark. Scary!

Man, I was ready to come back to work so I could get some rest!

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

Oops! Re-reading my post, it sounds like I was "tooting my own horn". I hope you guys don't think I was patting myself on the back for helping my family! Believe me, I'm far luckier to have them than they are to have me! cheesy
I didn't read it that way at all! You were just telling about your day like we all do on here and you do deserve some praise for what you did. What we do for our family is out of love because of what you said, "I'm far luckier to have them than they are to have me". I think you speak for all of us who do nice things for our friends and family. cheesy

We hope so too! This season will be so GOOD!!!

...Where does this leave me? Well, it leaves me hoping that I will be able to ring in the Season with all of you Friday night. I had my plans set in stone, but I hope I don't have to alter them now that I will be in Ottawa! Just over half a week until the beginning of the Christmas Season!! Wonderful!

With all that said, have a fantastic Tuesday, everyone!!

We totally understand!! But we know you and your family are BOTH lucky!!

I finally have felt better today and trying to organize the house. I brought out lots of boxes of ornaments and decorations and they just sat there when I got sick. I have been taking care of the grandkids and working through all this and had no energy to finish up the boxes scattered around. The house is looking better though!

I hope to stay caught up on here as well!

There are Christmas commercials galore on tv tonight!! LOVE IT!!! :merry:

This has really snuck up on me, but guess what tomorow night is??? We go to the Trans Siberian Orchestra concert!! SO excited!!! Their concert was so great last year (best one that I've been too so far) so I have high expectaions! LOL!

For traditions sake, it would be great to have you counting down in any way, shape or form, Binger! Good luck!

Have a fantastic time! TSO was incredible last year when Kim and I went!! In fact, it will have been a full year as of the 11th! Unfortunately, they are coming back this year on December 22nd. I will already be at home with my family then. Therefore, I will be missing the show this year. Enjoy your time! Hopefully they don't let you down - although I am quite sure it is impossible for them to put on a bad show!

Enjoy the show!

Whew....that took a while! Long, long day of meetings. I learned alot, so it was a pretty good day. I downloaded Polar Express yesterday and I am watching it tonight. Pretty awesome that I can now take my favorite movie with me everywhere I go. Man, I love technology.

Going to hang out and read the boards for a little bit. Then bed, but another long day of meetings. Rest assured, I will be here tomorrow night.

Brent - I think you are right on! No such thing as a bad show by TSO! :) This is our fifth time seeing them - we have been making it a yearly tradition. Sorry you have to miss the show, but at least you will be Christmassing with family! Doesn't get much better than that! :-D

Good evening,

Long day at work. Our kitten Ophelia had her spaying today, she is antsy to play with her brothers but we need to keep her in the carrier for the night. I am watching a DVD called Weird Christmas about different customs and ways others celebrate. Day off tomorrow will be decorating more.

Have a great night!

Got hard acts to follow but here is my special post 3 for the 2010 Countdown to Christmas season cheesy

In the bleak midwinter.................

............when the snow lay round about, deep and crisp and even............

........let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!!

Why are most of our favourite Christmas songs/carols based on precipitation falling from clouds in the form of ice crystals??!! Let’s face it, if we were going to be more authentic, we’d most likely be extolling the virtues of sandstorms and slightly above average humidity, given the whole Christ based Bethlehem origin of the season and “I’m dreaming of a 85*F comfort level Christmas” certainly wasn’t going to sell Bing many records

For every ying, there is a yang – a heads for every tails. No matter how much fun (or hassle) you get from the slushy white stuff or, in the case of Scotland, lots of icy rain, you always come in from the cold. You find yourself making a hot drink, grabbing a few cookies and settling down to watch it all from the comfort of your own cosy couch with Christmas songs playing softly in the background and your tree all aglow.

At the risk of sounding twee, that’s how I see MMC. Work and the real world and day to day stuff are the cold outside. There’re some good moments (equate it to making snowmen, snow angels and going carolling) and some not so good (hitting an icy patch on the road and sliding into a snowdrift). MMC is my hot drink, couple of cookies and cosy couch – it already comes with the Christmas music! I can relax, recharge and indulge in a little “me” time, psyching myself for the chilly great outdoors once more. It’s my year long Christmas indulgence that doesn’t leave me feeling like I’ve put on 6 lbs!!!!

Making this special post in the final days before the arrival of the Christmas Season proper makes me feel like I can give a little back to the site and people from whom I’ve received so much. I’ve gone a little off course in my ramblings (so what else is new?!) but my wishes to you all are as warm as the chestnuts roasting in the open fire.

Here endeth Day 3 – have a wonderful, wonderful season everybody and, guess what? It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!

I am going to try and get here I will be on a I phone......

Oh that's a great idea!
What time is it actually here on friday? I believe our times differ a lot, maybe if i knew what time you are going to be here, I can try and be here as well :)

I have been taking care of the grandkids and working through all this and had no energy to finish up the boxes scattered around. The house is looking better though!
That's great to hear! Hope you'll stay feeling better, and that your house looks great :D

hope you had lots of fun!

I really enjoy spending time with my dad. He's a man of few words, but we get along really well.

that's really important :) Really kind of you to go with him! (eventhough you are very busy!) Hope you two have a great time together... (he'll probably be very glad :P - getting his new car and all...)
