Morning all! Its Rudolph day! YAY! Not much new with us. Saturday we officially unplugged the Christmas lights on the house and the neighbors followed suit. I still have my stained glass tree on my desk all year round. So thats awesome. Well back to work I go! Have a great one everyone!

I leave something Christmasy up all year as well. =)

Good morning, Christmas friends, and happy Ruodolph Day. It is supposed to get up to 70 again here in northern California, so obviously no snow for us. I hope everyone has a great day and spends it doing something Christmassy!

Very warm! It will be near 60 here. =)

Well it looks like the Vice President is coming to town tomorrow. He is going to be at a battery manufacturer about 3 miles up the road from me. So I guess if I want to go anywhere I better go today.

Sounds like it will be hectic for sure!

Hey everyone! Our hardwood floor is being installed today FINALLY. My Hubby and a guy he works with were tearing up our old ceramic tile and leveling the floor all weekend. We are having it installed in the small foyer, part of the hallway and kitchen. It was a hard weekend not being able to use the kitchen or the whole first floor of our home for that matter since everything from the kitchen was moved into the living room.. I have had no computer at home since it has been unhooked during this project. I cant wait to get home and see the final results!

Hope you have a radio scanner to catch all the action! If you don't (and for the rest of us), it might be available online here. See if your county is in the list. You won't believe the commotion involved with dignitary visits!

I didn't even think of that. I usually only listen to my scanner when there is bad weather in the area so I can hear the damage reports. I will have to hunt it out for tomorrow. Unfortunately Hancock county is not covered on that list. Marion county is though and that is where the airport is.

Wow cant believe how close we are to 3,000 posts..that is incredible! I saw that a lot of you are experiencing snow/ice and cold temps. We hit a low of 8 the other night. Today is warmer...around 38 but we are expected to get some kind of precip starting around 5pm and will not end until Thursday morning... of course the weather man has no idea if it will be snow/ice/mix or rain... and why do we have weather men? LOL

Marion County it is then! The airport will be a very interesting monitoring point!

Here is a Radio Reference forum thread about the VP visit.

From the looks of things the Marion County Public Safety (MECA-1) may include Hancock County and other regional agencies in the line up. The feed provider may even fine tune his radio scanner for the event.
