Minta...GNR fan here! Seen them in concert once (original line-up). It was great!

Well, snowday is about over. We will have school tomorrow (I think), but it doesn't look very good for the rest of the week. They are calling for between eight and twelve inches, which is a significant amount for here. People are swarming the store today. However, I planned ahead and already made that trip to Wal-Mart! LOL. Have a good afternoon.....see everyone later..

Hope everyone is having a good mon evening. I have a really full day ahead tomorrow. Then i'm leaving out of town weds morning to North Ga about a 5 hour drive from where I live now. Weds night is a 70 percent chance of snow in north Metro Altanta so if that holds I will finally get my 2011 snow fix and I swear I'll shut up about snow! the 10 day forecasts seem to predict this is the last of the cold and the early spring is just right around the corner. So I have decided this weekend to have an end of winter xmas movie watching session. I plan to watch all my good dvr'd xmas movies for one last time till next fall!:) Hope everyone has a great night!

hey gang,

can't quite believe how quickly the year has gone by already!

was looking at my photographs from christmas 2010 today and it got me soooo excited. i plan on starting the build up earlier than ever this year to ensure that i fit in everything i want to do.

How about a gift certificate to her hair salon? Does she have a favorite magazine or does she read the local news paper? If so maybe you could pay for a subscription. Does she have a sweet tooth? If so and if you have a local bakery, maybe you could arrange for her to get something once a month or once a week for the next month.

Yesterday started good, but ended badly. We have a pretty close office here at work. Gail, the office manager, has two sons, 28 & 32. The youngest son had recently bought a new Camaro, souped up with 400hp, stick shift, etc). He was killed at 10 am yesterday morning after he missed at curve at 100+ MPH. I spent most of the afternoon and evening at his mom & dad's house. Poor Gail was so distraught. I can't imagine how they feel. It breaks my heart. :sad:

It's hard to concentrate here at work today. I'm sure her family would appreciate any prayers & good thought you can send their way today.

Good afternoon, Christmas friends. Well, the temperature warmed up enough for me to need the AC on the way home from work. I guess I will wear a short-sleeved T-shirt tomorrow with a jacket. The long-sleeved one was too hot this afternoon. I've got a little bit of work to do for Independent Study; then the rest of the time is mine!!! Hope everyone has a great rest-of-th-afternoon.

my sister is going down to Camarillo for a job interview next week.(she is a university professor, teaches nursing) It will be fun to visit her there!

I just can't seem to catch up on all the post. I got a lot to do around here.

The weather will be bad Wednesday and Thursday. Possibility of schools closing because of it.

I will try to be on later or catch up tomorrow.

I was just listening to RadioJonD and heard several shout-outs. It was so great listening!! I heard "I Want a Hippopotomus for Christmas" and was reminded of what happened the last few weeks in my classroom. In November and December, we listened to Christmas music every single day in class. Of course the Hippo song was on but only ONCE!!! The past few weeks, my most rambunctious kiddo kept singing that song over and over. I just could not get on his case!!! Thanks, RadioJonD. Also thanks for Maeberry's favorite group!!!
 
My aunt was an RN and would always do summer camps. She had no kids, and I was named after her; so she always took me to camp with her in Durham, NC. What great summers for me. Now my niece is an RN and loves working with old(er) people, so she works in geriactic care, which she loves! What a noble, and totally underpaid, profession!!!
