Minta...GNR fan here! Seen them in concert once (original line-up). It was great!
QUOTE]

I saw them when they opened up for Aerosmith... that was a wild but awesome concert! There are alot of bands from the 80s and early 90s that I loved but do not care for now as they have different members. It's just not the same!

I absolutely cannot wait for Transformers 3, that is the one movie I won't miss this summer.

We will see that movie at least twice in the theaters. Once with us 2 and a second time when we take the kids. My hubby is such a HUGE Transformer fan....

Good morning all, pretty much on and off here next few days. I am working different hours the next 3 days counting today. Still not the hours I am wanting, I am just doing this because my supervisor is out of town, so I have to do her job and mine, so I am working 10:00-7:00. Hope everyone has a great day.

Good Morning, Friends.

On we move into the week and along our march back to Christmas:
Days to the Season: 278
Days to Christmas Day: 320
Just over HALF a week off now from the Season 25 percent Milestone.
(Seems like we have closed in on that one mighty fast!)

Beautifully sunny here in Raleigh this morning with warmer temps.
It is 42 degrees as I type this.
However, it is supposed to get colder before warming up nicely for the weekend and we still have a chance of some snow or ice on Thursday, according to the weather service.

Still a few Christmas decorations up in my father's neighborhood that we see while walking the dog.
Nice to see a few folks still hanging on. (Or being lazy!)

You have a Terrific Tuesday, Everyone!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!! It is going to be a chilly day here in central Indy with the temp currently at 13 and falling through out the day. My plan for today involves staying inside and trying to get caught up on some work that I have been putting off. I hope everyone has a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good evening, Christmas family. I am just about to begin my new permanent shift....11 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. I will be working this Sunday through Thursday. I have never worked midnights before but I am up off and on all night anyway.....so I am hoping I can adjust. It is for more money so that is why I have to try this !!

I hope all are well and have a good evening. Cross your fingers for me !! xo
Good luck to you!
Ah shucks, I'm a-coming down with a cold tonight... Not much longer til I crash for the evening.
I hope you get well soon!
I seen those before but never made them. They are cool!

Chilly in central Illinois too. Stay warm and safe, enjoy your day.

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

The rain has moved out again, at least for a little while. I shouldn't complain about the rain. We need all we can get. But a little sunshine now and then helps put things in a better perspective.

I had a city council meeting last night, uneventful, as usual. That's another good thing about small towns. As long as you try to get along with everyone, there isn't much controversy.

I think our plant is going to be closed tomorrow for Gail's sons' funeral. Most of the guys expressed a desire to attend, so the boss decided to close it down for a day. Nice!

I hope you all have a great day! cheesy

I don't know how I forgot to mention this but one year when Guns n Roses came in town I went to a club and the band was there, all but Axle Rose himself. Slash was wasted and smashed right into me. He said, "scuse me"! and started laughing. He almost fell over. I didn't realize it was him at first until I saw the obvious hat and hair! They joined in with the local band that was playing and performed, Welcome to the Jungle.

They didn't advertise they were going to be there, they were just out partying for the night. This was over 20 years ago. I think it's been almost that long since I stepped foot in a club! lol. A few of my friends went and sat with them and had a few drinks. My friends met quite a few bands in those days, Poison, Kiss, Bon Jovi, Pantera and a few others. Not me, I was hanging out with my boyfriend at the time. But, the only one I met was Pantera.

Come to Dallas and you will have a lot of controversy at every meeting! I showed you a video of one awhile back. Lol!

I will be saying a prayer for the family and all who are grieving the loss of Gail's son.

Undrtker, I can't find where you posted it but I see everyone quoting you.

I hope you and William get well soon!!!

I have mentioned in the past that I have been ill off an on for years. I made drastic changes in my eating to improve my overall health. The old way I ate made me so ill that I could hardly eat and was underweight. Going vegetarian (2 years ago), staying away from processed foods and as of a few months ago giving up caffeine and sugar has improved my health big time and now I am finally at a normal weight and feeling much better. Taking the first step in going veggie corrected all the chronic stomach problems I had. I would never push my eating habits on anyone but it was what I had to do to feel better. I am actually jealous of those who can eat the things I gave up and feel great everyday. My mother who is almost 70 can do just that, feel fine and very athletic. It doesn't work for me.

The purpose of all this that I mentioned is now, as of yesterday, I am going to start training to run. I think I am ready for it. I wanted to post somewhere to hold myself accountable to make sure I follow through with it. My brother runs all the time and currently training for a half marathon. (around 13 miles). I am not ready for that long of a run!

I want to enter a 3k or 5k run. He told me that if I train for a shorter run that he will run along with me for moral support. That made me so happy that he offered that. My pace will be so much slower than his and he usually places 1st and 2nd in his age category but willing to go my pace to see me through it. I love my big brother! I tell him all the time he is my favorite brother. By the way, he is my only brother! cheesy

I have been wanting to do this for years but haven't had the strength. Please keep me in thoughts in prayer that I can do this. cheesy

My roof rake is in the mail, so hopefully it gets here quickly.

I think you ordered just in time. As of yesterday, their website shows everything out of stock---no orders processed or shipped until Feb. 18th! It's a tough winter.

Good morning, Christmas friends. Just a little chill here, but I am sure it will warm up, too warm for sweatshirts. I hope everyone enjoys the day.

Made them with my fourth graders. They did not turn out as well as some I have seen.

A lot of my first attempts at making things didn't go so well. But you can't learn if you don't try. And when it goes bad you don't have a hisssy fit and say I can't do it, you figure out why and do it again. More than once my failures were hidden in the trash can, then redone for all to see.

Oh I know you can do it. You have already got the hard part behind you. I think you will like running. To me it was my time to be alone with my thoughts. I can't run anymore miss it have to ride a bike now and like that. Just hard to do when weather is bad.

Thanks! This has nothing to do with making trees but I am going to apply this to my training for running.

I have tried to train for running off and on for years only to give up due to my health not handling it. I know I can't do much about the health situation and takes time to heal but I would throw my hands up and say, "I give up"! I just kept adjusting the things I put in my body and things I shouldn't for overall health. I don't want to rely on medication and just changing the way I eat has got me off of 5 prescriptions I use to take. Here I am again feeling much better in hopes nothing gets in the way. I shall go forward and keep trying!

In reality, I have thrown away my attempts at running right into the "trash can"! cheesy

Thanks! The good part is that I at least have a treadmill so if weather is not good I don't have an excuse not to train! cheesy
