Blue Christmas,
Where are you? You are missed. We'll have a blue Christmas forum without you!!!

Back to work today after the "holiday" weekend. That's in quotes because Mr. had to work from home all day Saturday, then I had to work from home all day Sunday. Yesterday was a federal holiday. So our three-day holiday weekend was one day. :-? Well, at least we're employed; some folks aren't so fortunate.

Our next holiday weekend is in April (Patriots' Day, a Massachusetts thing), then a few days' vacation in May, then Memorial Day, then a week's vacation in June, then July Fourth, then it's time to start collecting Christmas clips for this year's DVD and check our shopping list ... cheesy

A happy week to everyone---for those who are dealing with sickness and other ills, I'm thinking of you and hoping that things improve for you soon.

Good morning everyone. What a beautiful morning! It's a cold, bright, sunny day, and the snow we got last night is just sparkling like anything. Wish you could see it!

Welp morning everyone the sun is shining for one more day at least. It appears like tomorrow it's back to rain, mixed stuff, and snow for a few days then one day off from it and it starts again. Oh well still February and thats what it does sometimes in this month of the year.

You Know You're from KANSAS If:

Vacation" means driving to Silver Dollar City, Worlds of Fun or Six Flags over Texas.

I am still wiped out from being sick. I guess it's going to take some time to get all my energy back. You see little kids down with a fever and extremely ill one minute then running a marathon the next. How do they do that?! Takes me days to get back on my feet. Oh the joys of being a kid! cheesy

Well, Christmas friends. There may be SNOW for us on Thursday or Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yippee!!! Of course, I will believe it when I see it; but I am still excited, nontheless!

Afternoon everyone , We got a snow storm last night and I am kinda happy about it. We had a snow day as a result it is brilliant outside right now. Cold but sunny. I m gonna load up my old school 35mm and take a couple of shots. My husband went t o buy the film this am and told me he had a heck of a time buying/ finding it. Its becoming obsolete it seems. I have a digital too , but sometimes I like to do it the old fashion way. Have a goood day everyone!!

Just getting home from work and about to make chili..and have alot of paper work to do.(pay bills etc.) I just recieved a letter from Insurance co. that they will not pay for my medication(lyrica- which is an anti- convulsant) because the drug makers(phizer) said the prescription did not include a quantity at the bottom. Okay so If you take a pill 3x a day for 3 months does that not equal 270??? so I have to go back to my Dr,get him to write another Rx and actually put 270 at the bottom..grr I'm not good with red tape stuff like this..

Nowadays, being on a 6-1 calendar is a blessing. It sure is great to get a break right when we seem to need one. We have a shorter summer, but that's okay with me.

I wish we would go to that but everybody I say that to looks at me like I'm crazy! Do you still do 2 weeks off at Christmas, then a couple weeks in the summer? How does it work? Seems to me it would help keep kids minds on their studies instead of their brains turning mushy over a 9 week summer break like we have now.

I think it's cool to see the young kid Trevor get that win!

I don't watch racing at all, but this win was all over our local news since the winner is from Knoxville--about an hour from us.

Still itching to watch a Christmas movie. I got all excited Sunday night because the satelite guide showed The Good Witch's Christmas was to show---however it was The Good Witch instead. I wanted to watch it, but since I was all disappointed, I went to bed instead!

I think it is the best thing our district EVER did!!! We get a week in October off, one week during November (Thanksgiving week), 2 weeks at Christmas, one week in February, one week in April (for Easter, whenever it falls), plus MLK birthday, Veteran's Day (on the exact day it occurs), Memorial Day, and Labor Day. I just saw someone at the grocery store, she said that I looked more refreshed than I did on Friday (and today is Tuesday!).

I think it would be great to have Thanksgiving week off. We get three days here, but some people travel and it would be nice for them to have the whole week. My MIL says school should be out Dec, Jan, Feb so everybody could be sick and have snow at home and not pass around their illnesses!

Oh I could so go into a rant after reading that.

Dinner tonight will be crockpot chicken Marsala: brown the chicken (I did breasts and thighs), brown onion and protabello mushrooms; mix onion/chive cream cheese one can cream of mushroom/garlic soup, one can of cream chicken and herb soup. Layer, chicken, mushroom;onion/mushroom/soup mixture. I will serve it with Basamati rice and a veggie.

I forgot to add that I sprinkle fresh chopped basil on top! It smells SOOOOO good right now!

Mmmmmm--- :hello: deliver a heaping portion of that about 7:45 p.m., please? Bundle up when you bring it, we're going into the single digits again tonight ...

Good Afternoon Everyone!!!!!!! We have slipped back into the 30's today for a high but the 50's are back tomorrow!!!!!! Mom has been off for the last 3 days so I have spent most of today cleaning up the mess she made. You would think at 55 years old she would be able to pick up after herself. Now I think I may go take a nap. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!
