Good afternoon, everyone. Lots of clouds are in the sky and the temps are supposed to drop, but I will not hold my breath for any snow. Maybe next year. I have to go to a meeting in Redding tomorrow, so I guess I better get busy and write out my lesson plans for my sub. I already have the plans done, but I have to write out all the specials and what times things need to be done. Hope everyone has a great evening.

Good evening, Christmas family
I haven't checked in for a couple days and thought I would do so now. In just a couple of hours my shift starts and it is not bad at all. For the first time since I started nights I was able to really rest today and actually woke up not tired which is something that NEVER happened when I was working days.
I am a little worried about meeting the production that I have to meet but I have until May I think.
Does anyone know anything about joint problems ? The index finger of my left hand right at the first part of the joint has become EXTREMELY red and swollen with all the typing. While the swelling and pain do go away with rest the redness is always there and the joint itself is like deformed now. Does anyone know if this is some form or arthritis or something ?? I know I need to see my doc but I hate to initiate an office visit for a sore finger. Good grief. It is like the joint has just gone crazy. Oh well. If anyone is familiar with conditions like this or can give me a link I would really appreicate it !!
Furchildren are all asleep. Except Smokey. Smokey tends to stay up with me at night. What a sweet little boy. I think he realizes he is the only feline now that Punkin' and Goblin are gone. He tends to talk to me at night if I get up to get a coffee or something. Two of my canine children, Clancy and Wishbone come into the room where I work usually around 3 a.m. or so and climb into bed and that is where they stay until I finish at 7:30 then it is "potty time" and I let them out. Ivy, the Chihuahua, sleeps in the same room with my husband so she doesn't get up until a little later and besides, she is so small and SUCH a diva that she would NEVER resort to that outside potty stuff unless it is sunny and 80 degrees !! She has hre own special papers !!
I hope all who are well and who have family members who are ill will be well soon. Chrstmasstar, I hope everything turns out okay with your ultrasound !! xo

I hope you get to feeling better Caninemom and find out what's bothering your hands. I was thinking arthritis as well but not that familiar with it.

Hey friends! Been quite a long day today. Several things happened at work, but they will all work out. Some people just decided to be miserable and try to make others the same way, but not me. I'm convinced that life is going to be what I make of it. There are just some ugly people in the world. But hey, that's their choice.
Going to read the board for a while...still can't believe we are almost to 6,000 and March hasn't even started yet. We are on a furious pace. Amazing.

I got to thinking: uh oh, dangerous. When several of us were talking about some of the old shows. How in the world did that lead me to the Pledge of Allegiance! I remember someone saying that a kid would say, "I pledge allegiance to the flag and to the republic for Richard Stands." Now, that is my seque into some of the old TV shows. I used to love "The Millionaire." But I thought the man's name was James Bears Fortipton, not knowing it was James Beresford Tipton. My mother would laugh at me all the time about that!! I am sure NONE of you ever did anything like that!!! Right???

PLEASE tell me that SOMEONE remembers "Masquerade Party"? I loved that show so much as a kid. If you never saw it, you missed a real treat. Actors and actresses would be made up as different characters (extremely realistic looking via makeup artists and special effects) and a panel would try to guess who they were as real people. They would then take off the "makeup" for you to see who they really were. It totally amazed me!!!
