Good morning, friends! Mother's Day, eh? Worship the ground that my Mom walks on. Not a day goes by there isn't a phone call or a visit. My brother lives away and my Dad has to be gone working almost 9 months out of the year. After all those years of her taking care of me, I kinda see it as my duty.

Mom and me are very close. I was always Momma's Boy and to this day I still am. I am proud to say that.

Hope everyone has a great day today! But to you Moms, thanks for making everyday great!

Re the dogs and souls question - if my dogs can't get in, I don't want to go!!

as in the following...............

Heaven or Hell?

A man and his dog were walking along a road. The man was enjoying the scenery, when it suddenly occurred to him that he was dead.

He remembered dying, and that the dog walking beside him had been dead for years. He wondered where the road was leading them.

After a while, they came to a high, white stone wall along one side of the road. It looked like fine marble. At the top of a long hill, it was broken by a tall arch that glowed in the sunlight.

When he was standing before it he saw a magnificent gate in the arch that looked like mother-of-pearl, and the street that led to the gate looked like pure gold. He and the dog walked toward the gate, and as he got closer, he saw a man at a desk to one side.

When he was close enough, he called out, "Excuse me, where are we?"

"This is Heaven, sir," the man answered.

"Wow! Would you happen to have some water?" the man asked.

"Of course, sir. Come right in, and I'll have some ice water brought right up."

The man gestured, and the gate began to open.

"Can my friend," gesturing toward his dog, "come in, too?" the traveller asked.

"I'm sorry, sir, but we don't accept pets."

The man thought a moment and then turned back toward the road and continued the way he had been going with his dog.

After another long walk, and at the top of another long hill, he came to a dirt road leading through a farm gate that looked as if it had never been closed. There was no fence.

As he approached the gate, he saw a man inside, leaning against a tree and reading a book.

"Excuse me!" he called to the man. "Do you have any water?"

"Yeah, sure, there's a pump over there, come on in."

"How about my friend here?" the traveller gestured to the dog.

"There should be a bowl by the pump."

They went through the gate, and sure enough, there was an old-fashioned hand pump with a bowl beside it.

The traveller filled the water bowl and took a long drink himself, then he gave some to the dog.

When they were full, he and the dog walked back toward the man who was standing by the tree.

"What do you call this place?" the traveller asked.

"This is Heaven," he answered.

"Well, that's confusing," the traveller said. "The man down the road said that was Heaven, too."

"Oh, you mean the place with the gold street and pearly gates? Nope. That's hell."

"Doesn't it make you mad for them to use your name like that?"

"No, we're just happy that they screen out the folks who would leave their best friends behind."
.....

This is nearly identical to the plot of an episode of the original Twilight Zone series entitled "The Hunt" except the dog belongs to the man and the story starts before the man and dog die.
Well worth the watch.

Well It has been a great weekend. Kind of Bittersweet now that I look back at it. I'm going to miss all my friends and family the next 4 months while I am gone. But I am trying to look at the positives and I will be back just in time for the Fall colors and cooler temps and of course the holidays and then my baby being born..So much to look forward too! I hope everyone had a great mothers day and good weekend. Talk you all tomorrow!

Hey all! Hope you've had a great day :) I had a great day. The graduation ceremony ended up being beautiful and I didn't trip or fall when walking across the stage! I consider that success! I'm so glad to be done and prould to say I've graduated!

Had a great rest of the day out to lunch with the in-laws for celebrating my graduation. Then the kiddo and I napped for a bit before going to a 31 party at my sister's house. What a fun and laid back day! Its been much needed.

Now onto Mother's Day! I love and appreciate my mama so much each day! My DD made me a few things at pre-school this week already and gave them to me on Friday. We're going to have a big family picnic tomorrow and it should be another beautiful day!

I saw today that Deck the Halls is currently an option for the free movies on my "on demand." I've never seen that one before, so I'm hoping tomorrow will give me an opportunity to relax a bit more and enjoy it!

Have a nice night :)

Glad to hear you had a great day, I saw Deck the Halls on demand last night I was going to mention it but you beat me to it. cheesy
